Our power went out here twice on Friday, and took a few hours each time to come back on. Yours was definitely out longer than our. I live in Rome, NY.

The storm over the weekend caused major traffic issues. It took over four hours to go home on Fridaynormally a 40 minute driveand I know of people who did not get home until 2:30 am on Sat. When I got home, I learned that most of our trees were knocked down. Thank goodness only fences were damaged.

I doubt that you as a native ever used the letter R in language.
The exception was congregational reading at Church. That is how I realized it is ebonics.

My brother used a generator for his fridge, freezer and ran a 120 line to his gas heater. It’s great having skills. Thankfully each of my brothers and I are self taught to do such things.

Yup, suppose to be another 14+ inches of Global Warming dumped up here in NH Wednesday through Thursday.
Great (not).

Yeah, it is hard looking out the window right now and seeing grass on my lawn, thinking by this time Thursday, there might be 12 inches of snow on the ground...

“I doubt that you as a native ever used the letter R in language.”
Sure I did, unless it was at the end of a word.
We do not drop the “r” at the beginning or in the middle of a word-—— such as “reading” or “celery”.
You should have paid better attention during the two years that you were here.
