But it’s why he wins.

The difference is, Bama isn’t our arch-rival, like UGA is.

I think so. Some might have their hearts torn, cuz Saban has beat us so many times, but there’s just something about those Dawgs! Of course, I have Tech that I have allegiance to as well, so that may be what kicks me over the edge.

“Oh! If I had a daughter, sir, I’d dress her in White and Gold,
And put her on the campus to cheer the brave and bold.
But if I had a son, sir, I’ll tell you what he’d do—
He would yell, ‘To hell with georgia!’ like his daddy used to do.”

And let’s face it.

Saban went into the Auburn game knowing he could take a mulligan.

Blame that on the system, but Saban was going to take full advantage of the system in place. He probably could have played Tua more in the Auburn game, and gone all out to win it, but why?

I disagree, and have had some good times at the world’s largest outdoor cocktail party, when winning was sometimes an afterthought. I NEVER had a good time losing to Bama, and Wuerfell’s 35-0 win against Bama in one of the first SEC championship games was epic. Bama is our true rival, especially when it comes to national titles. You should support our governor, and our fellow university, who got cheated by being left out of the playoff. At least in hindsight. They scheduled that Auburn matchup for a reason. Bama’s lobby and their TV audience is the only reason why they were included in the playoff, which is BS.

Yes, you might say Bama probably got consideration because of their past history...but I’d say, they’ve earned it.

I do share the hope that this will result in changes to the playoff system, so that every team has the chance to control their destiny.

I’m not really watching neither. Championship Games tend to be for the most part, anti-climactic.

Well, the last quarter of this one, and the OT, were rather fun to listen to on radio (since we don't have cable, sat, or web TV.)

I admit ot: Yes, I wanted GEORGIA to win. And the reality is that Nick Saban had little choice BUT to pull his starting QB since what he was doing was not working. Yet, I think that when viewed through the lens of football history, Saban’s decision to pull Jaylen Hurts will be seen as, as BOLD as General MacArthur’s landing at Inchon!
