You talk about the ultimate mixed emotions. Imaging what he must be thinking, sure he’s happy they won, but it’s got to suck knowing they only won because they took you out of the game.

Hillary was the one that couldn’t accept the results of the election, and claimed the win was tainted. Does that sound familiar? ;-)

No, not at all, since the FINAL vote for who should be National Champion, has not yet been tallied.

And it will be a total disgrace when the voters GIVE it to Alabama, with UCF sitting there undefeated, when UCF was denied a chance to be in the playoff, but then still went on in their playoff game to beat Auburn, who had already beat BOTH Alabama and Georgia in the regular season.

In the old days, it would have at least been a "split" national title. But these days, it's all about who draws the bigger TV audience, so UCF won't get anything except for my posts in their defense.

I think Saban intentionally kept Hurts as the starter as long as he could so he could lull UGA into a false sense of security.

Had he replaced Hurts mid-season, teams could have better prepared to face Tua, but it was obvious once Tua got going, it threw UGA completely off-guard.

Saban had the “ace in the hole” and he knew it.

Florida governor: ‘The UCF Knights are clearly champions.’

https://www.foxsports.com/college-football/story/florida-governor-the-ucf-knights-are-clearly-champions-010818

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP) UCF had a second straight day of celebrations for its undefeated season while receiving a proclamation from Florida’s governor declaring the Knights national champs.

In signing the proclamation, Gov. Rick Scott said on Monday: ”Florida is home to the country’s best college football, and this season, UCF proved to the world that they can beat any team. By having a perfect season and beating the only team that defeated both Alabama and Georgia this season, the UCF Knights are clearly champions.”

Ahhh of course not. Actually I think most Gator fans should be happy that UGA lost.

If it helps him to win a Senate seat, more power to him.

Credit to Saban for making the call to switch QBs. He didn't care about Hurts's feelings. He wanted to win because he understands what winning is about.

Georgia didn't make the right call and kept running Chubb instead of Michel. Dumb play calling on their part.

I will say that Hurt’s demeanor on the sideline was exemplary. I know it had to be hard for him, but he was the good soldier.

You ain't kidding. He knows Bama won because of the other guy.

And, Hurts is not a NFL QB so this is it for him.
