Coheed and Cambria
My friends daughter
Clearly I dont get out much.
Tomorrow I am taking the old and young to see the Nutcracker at Ballet school, does that count?
Does 2016 count? Went to see Harry Connick in 2016 & he was great. A very talented man who sings & plays a lot of instruments...
No other concerts or performances.
Last “concert” I attended was my kids 8th grade band performance on the California Capitol steps about 18 years ago.
I did hear “Harvest Moon” by The Mavericks on Spotify and liked it so much I bought the song. It is a really great song.
ZZ Top with Robert Randolph and the Family Band
Garth Brooks
Chris Stapleton with Marty Stuart
We saw a Zeppelin Tribute band called Zoso and a Beatles tribute band called Yesterday and Today if you want to count those.
It has been a light year for concerts for us. We usually go to 6+ big shows per year. There just wasn’t a lot around here that I like enough to spend the money on.
That's me waving, about the middle of the video, flanked by my handsome son, gorgeous wife, and three of nine wonderful grandchildren! Didn't want to go home... Life is grand. :-)
Thanks for asking!
I went to see the Dead Kennedys, with their “new” singer who took over for Jello Biafra. I wasn’t expecting much, but the new singer represented himself well.

Dirty Dancing
Phantom of the Opera
Cinderella
The Who
Rod Stewart and (ugh) Cindy Lauper as someone else said
Bob Seger before he had to cancel the rest of the tour. He was great.
Pete Townsend at Lincoln Center doing Quadrophenia. It was fun but different. A cello and bassoon just don’t capture teenage angst like an electric guitar can.
Shillelagh Law tomorrow night.
The local symphony orchestra rocked the house with Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto.
That’s it for 2017 for me.
Paul McCartney came to town this summer. I would have liked to go but I refuse to pay $400 per ticket to sit in the nosebleed section.
Jamie Johnson in Los Angeles.
Celtic Women
Carolina Uprising (CDB, Marshall Tucker etc).
Frankie Valli
Blondie/Garbage
Lindsey Buckingham/Christine McVie
Poison with Extreme and Jackyl
And a bunch of other local Band shows.
Most of the concerts of the Seattle Chamber Music Festival this past summer.
The only one I saw this year was Three Dog Night at Statton mountain under the tent. I was never a big fan but I will say they rocked the house and it was great. I went with my wife and 20 something kids and everyone loved it.
I attended concerts by the U.S. Army Band, “Pershing’s Own”, three times this past year.
1) Mozart Symphony No. 41
2) Grieg Piano Concerto
