If we really wanted to stop crime in this country, caning would be a normal form of punishment. IT HURTS .. I’ve seen it in Singapore (at Changi) .. doing a little jail time is a cake walk ... 4 strokes of the cane and you don’t want to do any more petty crime!

I was stationed there for several years. It's a nice place to visit and be a expat. Beyond that, it's a fascist wet dream in many ways. Enjoy your time there. No free speech, media controlled by the government, no right to assemble, etc.
