She has lost a lot less than many younger singers. To my ear (saw her singing live on Sullivan the other day) the supple-ness that allowed her to slightly bend notes is gone. The basic voice and tone are still there

Petula Clark sits in a very roomy BOAC in this very nice advertising about Heathrow airport.

It's the radial age, a rip off of A Sign Of The Times by Petula Clark.

Cut Copy Me, came out in 2016 I believe, first time I heard it was in Australia, never in America, and you have to special order the CD. It’s my favorite other than Don’t sleep in the subway.

Oh gosh, I love her and all her songs. She was so unique.......I was just singing “Don’t Sleep In The Subway” in the kitchen the other day. She’s eternal and I never tire of her music........thanks for posting this.

Petula Clark even sang a song about a Democrat!

The Little Blue Man (1958)

Petula Clark was — and probably still is — good. But there was only one Dusty Springfield.

The British Invasion....the music of my youth. The 1960’s were,by far,the best decade for “pop” music as well as rock.

Now her song “Downtown” is associated with 2020’s Nashville bomber.
