Watched a little of this on TV tonight. A guy goes into a rural Christian church and murders everyone inside. Shoots men women and children. Was there a copycat to Hollywood's perversion in Texas?
I think that is a stretch. The Texas shooter had personal issues against people in that church.
All the people in the church were under Democrat mind control ,a guy like Obama
You can bet Hollywood is to blame for real violence, and yes this and more could have given the idea to the perpetrator.
By which I mean to say, Hollywood is to blame for vast amounts of horrible acts across our land.
having embraced Skynyrd at a young age I didn’t appreciate the Freebird soundtrack.
I thought you were talking about the Vocal group the Kingsmen that performed during the program Eyes Aloft which celebrated the West Coast airplane spoters during WW2.
Not at all a stretch. He had personal issues, but I saw that Kingsman church massacre scene and it was chilling.
It was similar enough size of a congregation, and the guy kills everyone in the church...like this guy tried to.
Its out right now. I also wondered if he saw it and thought that was the perfect way to take care of his grudge.
I’d be interested if it was on his watch list, or if he bought a Netflix or fandango ticket of it.

Take a look and decide for yourself. They’ll never tell us so we may never know, but I bet he saw it. This film is current.
Actually, it is a 2014 film. The current one is “Kingsman: The Golden Circle.” I had rented the 2014 film last year because the trailer looked good. But boy was I shocked when I watched it and saw the church scene. It is also laced throughout with profanity. I would not recommend it whatsoever. I don’t know what the sequel is like, but I am staying far away from it.
the first kingsmen movie portrays conservative white christians as racist and disposably subhuman. imho it is a must-skip movie.
Hollywood isn’t to blame. ANy more than the guns, bombs, aircraft or trucks are to blame. The nutballs who commit the crimes are to blame.
Ahem. if you’d watched the ENTIRE movie, you’d have seen that:
(1) Valentine targeted that church SPECIFICALLY
(2) The “church” was a fictional analogue of the Westboro Baptist Church.
(3) The entire church went into a homicidal frenzy due to a signal broadcast from their cell phones, as a test of Valentine’s plan to “cleanse the world of the plague of humanity”. . . .
Thank you! Dehumanization is not a joke.
This movie was vilethough I think Christians should see it to understand the depths of hatred that is ubiquitous in the perverse environs of our entertainment industry. This is how Hollywood and Washington elites truly view Christians. Portraying any other group in this manner would be roundly condemned, but its Ok when its Christian/Nazis. The terms are now sysnonymous in case you havent been watching the news.
Our country has progressed from Dehumanization to Polarization. The speed of descent into barbarity always surprises civilized men. Mankind has never been rational.
Sorry, but you’re wrong on one thing.
You’re right in that blame always goes to agency, never to mechanism. Agency = mind, mechanism = machine.
So Hollywood is to blame, because the products come from agency.
And the products of Hollywood encourage violent behavior.
No.
I never blame external stimuli for sinful behavior.
Each man is responsible for his own actions.
The Bible warns against leading the weak of conscience into sin.
10 For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;
11 And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?
12 But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.
1 Corinthians 8:10-12
