I accidentally stole a coworker’s lunch one day. My wife had made my lunch that day and it was in an identical brown paper bag. As I was eating it, I thought it was strange because she didn’t usually give me a bag of cut fruit like this. Then I heard my coworker discussing his missing lunch with another employee. I came out and confessed my mistake, apologized and told him he could have my lunch which was still in the fridge. He didn’t want it. He went out for lunch that day and always looked at me kind of funny after that.

if it was more than a day old in the fridge, it was fair game when i worked in the office... the only lunch i didn’t eat was the accountant’s eleanor... a nice older woman who treated me like a grandson.

good times. good times.
