Thugball has different rules than football...
One look at the number of arrest the other laws NFL players have broken in the last few years and we can assume they've been throwing games for a while.
Why not? it's not like they have any respect for the country, our national anthem or our laws.
BK ????
Now that IS funny.
After how they've acted toward the Country, our National Anthem and the Flag you think it's odd to suggest they could be lowlifes in other areas? You're kidding, right?
Thanks maggief.
As far as professional football is concerned, the closest thing to to this I can recall (but far less egregious) was players admitting to betting on their OWN teams. Their penalty was a one-year suspension.
Having watched most of the first half of the Raiders vs. Redskins game in question here, it occurred to me at the time that the Raiders' offensive performance was dreadful, especially considering that they were believed to have a potent and explosive offense which had scored 45 points the prior week. I know they were shut out in that first half and had very few first downs.
Other sports have shown zero tolerance of players who deliberately gave less than their best. The NFL, if wants to be on the level and is concerned about the basic integrity of its game on the field, must do a complete investigation of this Raiders-Redskins game, including thorough study of the game film. And anyone found taking a dive - regardless of the "reason" - should be banned from the league for life. Any thing less would be condoning consumer fraud.
BTW, were any suspicions along these lines reported by the MSM?
It would be far more suspicious if Alabama lost to Vanderbilt. The talent gap in the NFL isn’t so great that the Raiders loss is a huge upset. As for the poor performance, sometimes a team just lays a turd. It happens.
This type of allegation needs a lot more proof.
Is the quarterback now being out indefinitely with back spasms a little payback?
You recall wrong. Lynch wasn't even playing in the NFL last year.
A lot of Freepers owe the Raider’s offensive line an apology. On Thursday night two members of the Raiders offensive line went after a player who made a late hit on Carr. It’s clear, they are protecting their quarterback. Sa Freepers will buy into and support #fakenews.
