LOL
Yeah it was weird. It looked like they were setting her up to take over and then they started over with a new cast.
I watched the pilot and a few minutes of the second episode, then quit until Tony came on, and then stopped watching again after his first appearance.
Totally agree. Plus I think the real-time, 24 hour format has become stale.
We watched a couple of times last season, but it just wasn’t the same.
A real Loser!
I thought one of the funniest things on 24 was when the evil President’s wife wanted to delay him.
The first lady pulls him into the bedroom and starts unbuttoning her blouse as the clock ticks away at 7:52:30.
The next scene shows the President zipping up his pants and leaving the bedroom. The clock is now at 7:54:40.
Bauer was a career-hardened government counter-terrorism assassin. Carter was a discharged military ranger suddenly caught up in a terrorist plot.
It was super-spy versus everyman. The dynamics are just... different.
Wasn't it the first episode of season one when Bauer walks into an interrogation room with two perps with information, and he asks the other CTU handler if the first guy was guilty. The agent says "yes," so Bauer pulls out his gun and shoots him between the eyes, and then turns to the second guy and says "talk."
That's the difference between the two characters, and the mood of the two shows.

Those gun grabbing episodes on Designated Survivor were terrible. Stupid network and writers doing a very stupid thing. They should take their pens and cell phones then stick them where the sun don’t shine.
I think a 24 revival could work with Sutherland in a more mature and senior role. If I remember right; Jack Bauer was given to the Russians as part of the deal made with them in the last season so some kind of plausible reason would have to be given for him to still be alive and not crippled.
A very good actor would need to be found to be “the guy” to take his place in the field though. Hopefully an ex-special forces guy with a lot on the ball and a natural skeptic. At 51; Sutherland could still have some field time. He just get keep gettinL-pyroglutamic acidg beat up all the time because no one bounces back that fast at that age and older.
Seems like every season had a plant inside CTU. That’s unacceptable but then I think of all the leftist deep state traitors in our agencies and think; what’s the difference?
LOL, I remember that!
Rofl! The great Itzin and jean Smart. Best season. But I didn’t catch the time on their romantic lovemaking!
I want fox to pick up Last Man Standing
True. Bauer understood the bigger picture, what was at stake, and was instantly willing to do what it takes no matter how distasteful. One time he shot his boss in the back of the head because the terrorist had a virus he would release that would kill millions if he didn’t. That takes a certain kind of person who can separate his personal feelings from the job needing to be done.
That was my least favorite scene in all the seasons of 24. At the very end of that season finale Bauer finally broke down and cried as it all caught up with him. Needless to say; no drama queens need apply for that job.
It made me feel better about urban gangs. The swat team was weak compared to the homeboys kicking terrorist ass.
MORE PUBLIC HOUSING 24 seasons!!!
How the heck did that get in there? I must have somehow hit cntrl V while typing. I looked up that ingredient earlier.
Unless they make it sympathetic to Islamic Extremists, like Homeland did. Then it's PC toast.
No...24 Legacy failed because of despicable and constant reverse racism, portraying a U.S. Army vet as a traitor to terrorists, and putting a gay couple at the heart of CTU. I — a die-hard “24” fan who religiously watched every episode - was done after 4 episodes and never gave it a single thought thereafter.
I was always amazed that even though 24 was in “real time” nothing much of consequence happened during the commercials.
Yeah, they went from dealing with Presidents and Ambassadors to dealing with street gangs. I know that both were all fiction, but it lost its edge.
That's because you probably dvr'd it and skipped thru the commercials in seconds.
True.
