Interesting, because I have done more than a few searches through the network (I am a member) looking for the title, the author name, etc. and it never came up.
The closest I got was a book called “Senatorial Privilege” which was some novel of some sort.
I believe Kennedy taught the Clintons how to kill and get away with it...The whole Dem Party is a criminal operation...
Darnit, you’re right. Of course pay off the family was the next step.
I don’t doubt that I could be mistaken.
“I dont doubt that I could be mistaken.”
I wasn’t implying anything,I’m the world’s worst searcher-——just thought it would be helpful.
A librarian once told me that when doing a book search include BOTH the book title and authors’s last name. It kind of speeds things up.
.
LOL, apparently you aren’t the world’s worst searcher...I am!!
Good tip-I’ve been looking to re-read the book, so I am going to look for it-thanks!
paperbacks are $.01 on Amazon - I gotta read this.
...and what is this about a second passenger?
That was from National Lampoon, not VW.
Mary Jo said: “Teddy I think I'm pregnant”!
Teddy said: “Mary Jo, We'll cross that bridge when we get there”!
------------------------------------------------------
After the event, Ted said he never knew he was on the road to Chappaquiddick. That is totally Bull as I rode my bike down that road soon after the incident and the road to Chappaquiddick was such a graveled/rocky road that I could not ride my bide. I had to get off my bike and push it!
“That was from National Lampoon, not VW.”
Thanks. I never knew that.
All these years I thought it was a real VW ad. I guess you get smarter everyday.
I was a fan of that mag in the late 60s. They caught a bit of flak for that one.
Kennedys car killed more people than my GUN.
Thanks for the heads up on the book. It sounds very interesting.
I recommend it 100%. A piece of history, told in a way most of us have never heard it. How do you ramp up for a war you know is coming, but most people don’t accept it is coming?
They did it, though.
Ooops! Sorry...I had recommended a book “Freedom’s Forge” about how America’s industrial machine ramped up in the lead up to December 7th, 1941...sorry, I got my threads mixed up!
Leo Damore’s book is well worth reading. As Mears pointed out to me, I could find it in my library network, so I requested it again. This will be the fourth time I have read it...I just like to keep it fresh in my mind, so when liberals up here begin telling me how great Ted Kennedy was, I have my data ready...:)
Two things I never forget about the Kennedys; Joe made his fortune bootlegging during Prohibition, and the family never cut its ties with organized crime.
I had the misfortune of being born the same year as Fat Ted,in Boston, and spent my life watching his pathetic career.
I hate The Kennedys.
I read Damores book years ago———time for a re-read.
I am also very familiar with Edgartown-—and Chappaquiddick,so the entire thing is very interesting for me.
Same here! I went to Martha’s Vineyard with my wife (we renewed our vows there) and I had to make a pilgrimage over there...I suspect that isn’t uncommon.

Cool !!!!
I had aunts who lived there-—settled there in 1920s-—so I have been going there since the 30s———not yearly, but very often.
It used to be a staunch Republican island——no more.
