I use the cheapest disposables on the shelf, single or double blade. I have been getting three to seven weeks per razor. Occasionally one is not good for even one shave and one this year went for 74 days. I just use soap for lather and make sure to clean and dry the blade well when done. I do not try to keep using it until it is ripping out whiskers. My razors cost from 99 cents for a dozen up to 2.99 for ten. I shave the tip of my chin only on Sunday. Those particular bristles seem to be made of Kevlar or carbon steel. It takes me less than 5 minutes to complete the process.
Harrys Razors and Dollar Shave Club are way overpriced. I figure I am shaving comfortably end efficiently for a fraction of a cent per shave.
I’ve been using Trac II for at least 25 years, and I’m not about to change. Though I was considering buying some more blades today. Yet it suddenly seems prudent to wait. A couple of weeks perhaps.
I think the Harry’s blades are intended for 6-7 shaves. Unless you have a primordial forest for a beard, the razors last at least that long for me.
I can do without the overpriced shave gel. The add-ons is where they make their money.
