That is the danger to freedom that I see. Especially with each human being issued so many carbon credits according to their allowable carbon footprint.
There will be some of that but ways around it. Most passenger cars are already limited to paved government roads.
Agree. Like kids today never knowing how to fix anything. Hands on learning gone.
When TSHTF, people will be lost.
And what about outer space interferences. I don’t even rely computers.
These new phones are taking over our ability to do for ourselves.
On the other hand, I can't stand the idea of being so dependent on tech. Too many things to go wrong. There is no way you will ever convince me that these types of vehicles are "hack proof", and I would bet dollars to donuts that some governmental agency is going to demand an "emergency backdoor access" to the system so they can shut down, or control a particular vehicle if "needed".
No thanks, I'll keep driving my old '77 Chevy pickup.
“Most passenger cars are already limited to paved government roads.”
But what is that in comparison to the power to—for example—close the borders to an entire state with the click of a mouse?
Humans are good at doing complex tasks but notoriously bad at monitoring something that is normally OK. The latter task is truly boring and computers are much better at it.
