I’d be less concerned about the progressive reviews and more concerned about the words of those who, I don’t know, actually wrote the film.
That being said, you are correct regarding that, I’d argue that Rogue One’s the most conservative Star Wars film to date (and had George Lucas not outright destroyed my loyalty to the Rebel Alliance by revealing that he based them on the NVA/VC, Communists, in other words, I probably would have rooted for the Rebels). Too bad Chris Weitz and Gary Whitta nearly ruined it with their stupid tweets.
