Awww...he was just being thoughtful. What a guy! No cure for stupid, though, for either one of ‘em.

I remember being in my hospital room right after major surgery back in the late 80’s and the woman in the other bed was sneaking smokes from her husband. I was able to get her moved, thank God. The smell was nauseating.

Back in the ‘70s, Dad had minor surgery and his friends brought him a “box of chocolates” that had a dozen mini bottles in it....

Not the same, but in my small peer group it’s a custom to sneak a cold beer into the hospital for new fathers.

Somebody did it for me, and I did it for the next dude.
