Guess it’s too much to ask the Iranians (or ANY Muslims) to respect “cultural differences?”

not quite.

the host country should show some respect for its honored guests

and if the guests wish to reciprocate, they can wear a regular shawl or hat, without needing to wear things that are specifically Moslem-identified garments

Nonsense. We won't require them to wear short skirts when they play in this country.

Strange this coming from Susan who is or at least used to be Jewish.

How about respecting cultural differences by allowing differences instead of being intimidated into observing a difference that is not yours. Better yet insist any Muslim men in the presence of these woman be blindfolded or blinded - problem solved no woman subjected to their subjugation.

By requiring non-muslim women to wear a hijab, the Iranians are the ones not respecting cultural differences.

the feminists of 100 years ago of the Women Vote Movement would be no different. (in "respecting cultural differences")

That's not my experience. I was very close to my grandmother Sadie Stewart of Grand Blanc, (suburb of Flint) Michigan. Grandma Stewart marched for women's suffrage in Flint, a tough, factory town even in those days. James Bruce Stewart, her husband supported her, according to my mother.

The people I met who associated with the movement with Sadie were very sure of one thing, they all had fled places with "cultural differences" especially murdering people who "went to the wrong church." Sounds like the evil people who sell Scarlet Burkas to me!

Just my observation.

So Ms. Polgar feels that the Iranian hosts don’t need to respect cultural differences, just the participants. Not a surprise. Most fembots/Marxists give Moslems a pass on just about everything, while bending over backwards to appease them. If that strategy continues and the likes of Merkel and Hillary have their way, the barbarian Muzzies will have the Western world in checkmate in short order. It seems to be their wish, whether conscious or not.

Susan why should they? Do Muslims respect the Western World’s differences? When Muslims respect differences others have - including freedom of religion and wearing regular clothes (instead of a garbage bag) and no throwing gays off top of buildings - then maybe I’ll respect them.

Gang-raping young girls and then stoning them to death is “part of the culture”, which must be respected, right Susan?

Tell your slime hosts you and your girls want the full multicultural experience. They will leap to oblige, no doubt.

Susan Polgar: Women Chess Players Need To Respect 'Cultural Differences'

Shouldn't the same be true of Iran?

"I think there is no problem since a total of the 12 players took part at the Chess Grand Prix held in Tehran. It will be the biggest sporting event women in Iran have ever seen. It's not right to call for a boycott. We are well-prepared to host the event," Pahlevanzadeh told Tehran Times.

So host it with whoever decides to show up. Nobody is preventing you from doing so, so stop whining. Leave those not wanting to bow to your demands stay away if they want.
