The heroin addicts in the US will need a supply and they can get it from Canada. That way Canada gets money from exports and the US can put more heroin addicts in jail for cheap dollar an hour labor (US with 5% of world’s population/ 25% of world’s prisoners).
Next, up the war on physicians that prescribe opiates for chronic pain and encourage Canada to up their production of oxycodone so that we can generate a vigorous pill smuggling operation into the US. Then the government can step in with solutions for more prosecutions and imprisonment.
The idea is to create chaos with the need for more totalitarian government.
I'm not sure why Canada is giving them heroin instead of Methadone.
First of all I am glad there was success with your relative in treatment. I did a bit of research and got the National Post of last March. Reference Tom Blackwell. Incredibly the number of Methadone patients in 1996 was 3000, in Ontario alone. To this date it is now 50 thousand. A health care worker stated that most patients use it to get a high.
I will concede that I hadn't a clue about the statistics of drug use in Ontario. My own vice is 200 ml (7 ounces) of Wiser's Deluxe whisky once a week (chuckle). I absolutely do not condemn the addict, not walking in their shoes.
