in the first place an armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life. Thats a personal evaluation only. But gunfighting has a strong biological use. We do not have enough things that kill off the weak and the stupid these days. But to stay alive as an armed citizen a man has to be either quick with his wits or with his hands, preferably both. Its a good thing.

Liberals have painted comservatives as "gun crazies" who shoot innocent people at the drop of a hat. In other cities, such as Chicago, they know no one is likely carrying a gun. What a great thought that people could have been stopped from doing stupid things because the media has told them thay would risk dying at our hands, from our terrible tempers. 😀

All the demands that open carry be suspended for the convention probably made the issue front and center in the minds of the street thugs. They want to go to jail to “make a statement” but they don’t want to carry that statement making thing any farther than that.

I believe in open carry and concealed carry. If the politicos ever successfully void the 2nd Amendment that is when I join the revolution.

After the DNC Wikileaks email fiasco, I can't help but think Hillary will see mass chaos at her coronation.
And I don't just mean a “fart-in.”

I agree with Mr. Heinlein. Getting people to understand it is another thing now a days.

I don’t think that the surface has even been scratched on those mails. And the triggered dumps that will happen as people try to cover their rumps and toss Bill Clinton under the bus.

While I respect In-and-Out, the place that I at, DAILY, was Tommy’s (Beverly and Rampart), for nearly a year.
But they both kick some ask.

The real story was that there weren't that many protestors to begin with. Having a unique vantage point, I can tell you that there was one BLM March of about 400 on Monday, and the rest of the protests were less than 150. The real nuts like Westboro Baptists, the Klan, and the Communists were less than 25.
The local and state police, including a lot of guest players did an outstanding job. The real standouts were the bicycle cops. They kicked butt in herding the marchers and separating some fighting protestors.

I think open carry was a big factor. Saw the “West Ohio Militia” there patroling the streets with open carry.
Plus, Bikers for Trump sure didn’t hurt.
Plus 6,000 policemen was another factor.

I frequently open carry a full sized Sig on a tactical leg holster with 3 extra mags visible. I can attest how everyone and I mean everyone is very polite and civil when you have a large firearm on your person visible unabashed for all to see. It is a political statement as much as a self defense choice. You can see some people are visibly unhappy but lock eyes with them and they quickly see a hardened soldiers eyes. Followed by a slight smile, people pick up on that and digress rapidly with a uneasy smile back and polite behavior.

As far as admiration goes, how can anyone not admire a man who not only figured out *how* the world works, but *why* it works the way it does? He has always held a special place in my heart, and soul, and always will...

Seems there’s a few of us who suspected this. In the end, if it kept one cop alive and one Trump supporter unharmed, I’m happy.
