:D
I can corner faster then.
The previous was from ArGee’s post, I’m shorter and heavier, hence the Lard Arse comment. 5’11’ @ 200lbs. Looks awful in writing.
LoL, bring on the wind.

UNGH! I sent a text to Sussette, who was supposed to take me to the airport on the 21st, asking if we were still on for 0800.

She hemmed and hawed and said she just found out her daughter would be off school that day, but hinted that if I pushed the issue, she would take me. She probably would have waited until that morning to tell me she didn’t want to go.

So I politely told her I would find another ride and that she could sleep in with her daughter that day and then go do fun mother-daughter things. I’m glad she couldn’t hear me grinding my teeth and calling her rude names.

So now, I have to pay to get to the airport. The going rate for Uber is $12, and whatever the tip is, and now I realize more than ever why I didn’t want to go.

Just call it “built for speed.”

You can’t be too heavy walking everywhere in NYC.

At least, not walking so slowly a mugger can catch you or, even worse, someone calls you a “tourist.” (shudder)

He’s big around the middle and he’s broad across the rump.
Runnin’ ninety miles an hour tain’ thirty feet a jump
Ain’t never been cornered and he’s never been treed
And some folks say he looks a lot like me

It’s very sad that you have so many unreliable people in your life, especially people who expect things from you but never reciprocate.

Remind me when you need the money - and maybe you’ll like the Uber ride better!

If I go to Mom’s after the first, I’ll ask her to book me on the airport shuttle van. It’s less stressful than riding through Orlando with her ;-).

Large cities all have that one thing in common, rush, rush, rush.
Touristing properly takes practice, but is well worth it. Amazing what you miss during the morning rush. Even in a town you (I) think (thought) you (I) know (knew) like the back of your (my) hand.

G’night. :)

I will take just so much and then I'm done. I'm done with Sussette. I'm going to block her on FB, because I'm tired of looking at her ugly selfies, her constant photos of her latest expensive acquisitions, and her monotonous travelogues. My Christmas present from her is her exit from my life.

She asked me if I was "ready for Christmas. I told her, "No. I'm not having Christmas." She didn't respond.

And now she says, after unexpected but welcome company, I'm heading for the Warm Place.

Mom lives in The Villages, but one flies in and out of Orlando.

Especially during the Universal Nap Time.

I’ve had my shower, and I have no idea why I was up at 0245...But that’s the way it is.

Now I will go deliver some Christmas cards to the peeps and then come in where its not windy and cold. And then my day starts for real.

Not much is astir here, but I’m sure they’d all turn up if I decided to mop.

Actually, the Uber driver I’ll be hiring is my neighbor, Greg. He is an ex-Greyhound driver, so I trust him. He just can’t drive commercial vehicles because of his dialysis schedule.

He still has to account for the ride, so I do have to pay him. In order to remain an Uber driver, he has to drive a minimum of 10 hours a month, and he does. Often more than that, but never less. (My brain! It’s fried!)

(I’m still simmering over the BS with Sussette. That was pretty nasty, that was.)

Simmering is bad for your digestion! (Dreadfully tacky, it was, though.)

I’m sure you’ll have a better ride. I need to decide who’s going to pick Mom up at the airport tomorrow and who is going to take James, Vlad, Frank, and Kathleen to where they’ll be staying (with a family from Cub Scouts).

Yes, I know the “the place is empty so I’ll just mop” scenario. Wicked one, for sure. Insidious. Yes. Even e-vil. The minute the mop hits the water, the Horde will come stomping through.

The cards are delivered and I’m going to go in and have a breathing treatment.

Since I don’t like to dwell on idiocy, I will ask the Lord to forgive this woman, and at that point, the whole thing will be taken care of, and I won’t be affected by it. And when I’m done with the breathing treatment, I’ll go remove this person from my FB feed. :o]

It sure seems like people’s lives would be much better if there were no Facebook.

I’ve got to go to Walmart again: Pat claims he does not have solid colored pants and a shirt. I feel certain I got them, but there are so many boys, and they look so much alike ... maybe I said I would wait until I had Pat physically present, so as to get the right size.
