Good for them!
Squee! That kitteh looks like it’s very warm!
38 degrees, SW @ 2, 36%, clear — brr-r-r-r!
Some areas have been issued a hard freeze warning.
Good morning. It was a little warmer here, and now we have some rain. Jake was out all night and got slightly wet. The Overnight People were supposed to get him in, but you know how they are.
I’ll be leaving for Weight Watchers pretty soon.
I worked on my personal history yesterday, and it left me a little tired. But I have to write it so that my kids know why I am who I am. Looking ahead, it’s going to get worse.
But this is today, and I’m ready for it. It starts in a few minutes when I have to go open up.
I’ve already had my steroid, and the clothes are on the bed, ready to be folded and put away, and then the day is mine. I’m trying to decide if I want to go pick up my prescription or not, but I don’t have to decide that right now. I think I have enough gas to do it.
I haven’t gotten any word on Chuck’s condition, but I’m sure Zeke will tell me today, as he and Cindy2 went to visit him yesterday.
(There are three Cindys here in close quarters to each other. They are numbered according to their move-in date. My neighbor is Cindy1, who is a PCA when she feel like working, but complains about how poor she is after she has turned down jobs, the gal with the nasty yapping dog is Cindy3, who is Vietnamese and thankful to be in America, and Cindy2 who used to have her own business, but gambled away houses, RV’s, boats, etc. “But we’re all ‘here,’ aren’t we?”)
I worked in an office that was full of Cindys and Cynthias. We were all called by our last names: Mrs. Carter, Mrs. Garcia, Mrs. Wright, etc.
I just finished typing the words for Sunday’s Mass. As soon as I send them to Don Fabio, the guy who puts them on the video screens for the congregation, we’ll leave for Weight Watchers.
Very unsteady on her feet.
Ohno. Does she use a cane? And better yet, will she? I will say some prayers for her. Can you give me her name in FReepmail? (first and last, please)
Weather foreguess thinks it will get into the 60s here by tomorrow.
If the day is yours can you make the weather a little nicer over here?
Pretty please?
No Cynthias or derivatives of same, but we have Sriram, Srikanth, Srikar, and they all go by Sri.
I suppose you can’t address them by their last names because their last names have 22 syllables.
Sri, as I understand it, is a term of respect, much like “sir.” But I could be wrong. Well, I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken... ;o]
Maybe it’s more like “lord.”
More like “lord,” as far as I know.
Zeke went to see Chuck, yesterday, and he said Chuck is looking much better and of course his speech is nearly normal. But it seems the recent back pain he complained about is directly related to the stroke. I’m not sure what the connection is, but it would seem the blood clot was putting pressure on a nerve, which caused the pain. I thought it might be sciatica, and suggested he get it checked. Ungh.
Zeke will go see him tomorrow and take Charlie, if the latter wants to go. No idea how long Chuck will be in the hospital, but the peeps are pretty much his family, as two of his three kids have ignored him for years. I don’t know the status of his third son. He works for the Border Patrol in a pretty high position, and I believe he is in DC at the moment.
I will be taking Zeke to Walmart in the morning (he was going to walk, but having done that for three years, I will be more than happy to take him) even though I have nothing to get and no way to get it. I feel like I should buy something, even if it’s just coffee for the clubhouse, but I can’t even get that. If the SS comes in during the night, I’ll be good to go.
Zeke didn’t want me to make a special trip for him, but I lied and said I was going, anyway. Since he is an early riser, it’s not even an imposition. Most people don’t want to go that early.
I’m glad Chuck is doing is doing better. I’m going to Walmart as soon as I brush my teeth and find my shoes. Tom wants to make pumpkin pie. For Thanksgiving with his friends, he made cherry tarts with a Cheerwine glaze.
Later we’ll go to the library, get Elen at school, go by the postorfice for stamps and a large Priority Mail box so I can send some things to my mother.
Due to the wonders of Goulgle:
noun: Sri
a title of respect used before the name of a man, a god, or a sacred book.
There it stands, but not for long......
Mine.
