Up before the kittehs again. *yawn* Why? I could go back to bed for a nap.
I will try to make this a good day, though it’s not shaping up well, and the wind will be kicking up all day. I hate the wind.

I agree with your tagline.
I need a breathing treatment, but I also need to go open the clubhouse, first.
Then I think I will go to Wally’s and get some water, since I’m mostly out of it. I go through a lot of it when I go sit with the peeps. At least two bottles.
Sounds like a plan. We have a lot of people around here getting breakfast.

Back from both chores, now for the breathing treatment, as I’m having hard time catching my breath. I wish I could combine the meds, but the manufacturers say that’s a no-no.
Another day when I run behind. No church today because of Stake Conference (twice yearly) so I can either go to that for two hours on a folding chair or stay home. Hmmmm...
Is that kitteh a littermate of yesterday’s? Squee!
Unnngh.
And yes, today's kitteh is the brother of yesterday's.
Cute toy!
My sediments, exactly. With the weather like it is, my back is giving me no respite. Sitting on a folding chair is no fun. I could go sit on one of the sofas in the lobby, but after two hours, I wouldn't be able to get out of it. They used to stream the Stake Conferences, but I didn't check this time.
I went for a walk around the block a few times. Now I’m hanging out with Kathleen until it’s time to leave for the Spanish Mass at 12.
Change of plan: the van wouldn’t start. DP is taking 4 people with him, and I’ll go in the car later with some others. Tom can go even later.
Time for a new van?
We have different hours, too, but we change only once a year. In January, our Ward will meet at 11:00, and in 2018, they will meet at 1:00 PM. Then again at 9:00. I never make it to the 1:00 sessions. I’ll go to whichever one meets at 9:00.
We can go at 5:00 p.m. Saturday or 9:00, 11:00, 1:00 or 4:30 on Sunday. This is helpful when you’re trying to organize ten people!
Tom said everything in the electrical system seems to be connected, so I’m thinking it’s the starter. However, AAA won’t tow it unless we have the RV enhancement. DP can probably add that to the membership today, and then we can have it towed tomorrow. I just emailed Kathleen’s riding teacher to reschedule her lesson for after Tom gets home from school, so I can drive the Avalon.
Sigh.
If the battery is strong, the problem is usually in the starter. Turn on headlights so you can see how they behave.
If the starter turns over but the vehicle doesn’t start, you have some kind of engine problem. Could be out of gas.
If the starter doesn’t engage, but the lights don’t go dim, you have a starter problem. Make sure you check starting it in park as well as neutral. The problem could be in the neutral/safety switch.
Sometimes everything is right, but the starter doesn’t move from its rest position, (what some may call a “dead spot”.) Believe it or not, whacking the starter with a mallet while you are trying to start the vehicle may wake it from its dead spot. This usually means getting a new starter eventually.
Thank you. I will give DP this list (including the “whack with a mallet” repair). It would be nice if we could get it started sufficiently to drive to the mechanic, rather than tow. I did this when the Avalon needed a new starter, just recently.
Sigh.
I just wish I lived closer to my son so he could trouble-shoot and maybe do repairs. He’s not all that familiar with turbo chargers, but he knows what to look for.
And that, my FRiends, is why I have AAA! For the tows to the mechanic. Of course, in St George, I will have nephews to rely on...maybe. Until my son moves there, anyway.
I’ve tried to talk Busdaddy into getting AAA with the RV and the motorcycle riders, but he has been resisting me for several years. The RV rider would pay for itself the first time he had to have it towed. But it’s not my problem any more, and I haven’t mentioned it in over a year.
While I was at Wally’s, I found some “cheap” Moscato, at $2.86, and it’s not bad. But when I got it home, I realized I need to get a new corkscrew. *sigh* Payday can’t come soon enough. (I want to get another bottle or two of the stuff!)
One of the neighbors gave me a bottle of red wine, and I have just never, ever learned to like it. I like rose’ and Zinfandel, and Blush (which is probably rose’) but not red. My bad.
