I always liked the “Clams got legs,” panel.

I used to have it, but it disappeared at work, one day. Along with a Calvin and Hobbes book. *grrrr*

Germany has always fascinated me, also.
But not the Adolf years so much.
I consider it to be the mother land of the Northern European people.
She will survive,I’m sure.Vercingetorix the second is out there somewhere.
I know he was a Gaul, but it is such a cool name. :)

I have been to Walmart. I’m reading a book about an American pilot who was one of the “Great Escape” participants (aggregated into Steve McQueen’s character) and a biography of Mary Martin, the Broadway actress. Coincidentally, both Ms. Martin and the pilot, whose name I don’t recall offhand, were from small towns in Texas.

The entire history of Germany is interesting to me and I have several books covering probably 3000 years of how it came to be the country it is.

I like the war years because I was a military wife, mother, widow, grandma, and G-g-ma...as I tell my kids when they back-talk me, “Time in grade, dear, time in grade.” Yes. Like that.

The fever is worse, so I’m out of here. I hate this. It seems to never end. About six hours is all I can handle before the fever and chills are back. *sigh*

Clams panel

Two clams at a costume party. First clam in mask: Guess who?

Second clam: Wanda

First clam walks away mad

Second clam to us: Wanda has knobby knees.

Are they any good? All I've ever used are Bose and Advent. I don't trust these modern brands.

Bob Inghram was an American Spitfire pilot during World War II. He was shot down on his fifth mission, was captured, and imprisoned at Stalag Luft III, which was made famous in the movie “The Great Escape.” San Antonio-area veteran

San Antonio is a nice little town if you stay on the Riverwalk.

Beyond that the traffic is a nightmare.

William Ash is the subject of the book I have; I just went upstairs to check it. Like quite a few other Americans, he went to Canada to get into the war by joining their Air Force.

With all those guttural sounds, it can hard to tell whether they’re speaking, coughing, or grunting.

For those who might have liked "The Voice" yesterday, you might be interested in all of THe Alan Parson Project's album, "Tales of Mystery and Imagination." All the tracks are inspired by Edgar Allen Poe.

You can hear the insanity in The Tell Tale Heart. And you can almost feel your life ebbing away brick by brick in The Cask of Amontillado. Enjoy.

Have just discovered a critical shortage of Cow Juice in the fridge.
Looks like tea without milk in the morning.

YOU GUYS SQUEEZE COWS FOR THE JUICE?

And I thought we were bad the way we raise turkeys for food.
