Near-selfie-death:
Tip: Selfies near train tracks? Bad idea.

1,600 feet. If he fell that far before striking anything he had plenty of time to think about things and make peace with his Maker.

Sometimes, reality is just like that, it kicks you in the head (or behind) when you’re watching someplace else.

There have been dozens of deaths related to tourists taking selfies in recent yearsActually selfies do mankind good because they tend to weed out the Darwin award finalists.

I have sympathy for the people who have to go all the way down to the mountain base in order to recover and transport the bodies.
Wasn’t it just two months ago that a video showed little Chinese students climbing a Jacob’s Ladder up a mountainside in order to reach their classrooms? That was a shocker. The Chinese government was embarrassed into installing a long stairway for the kids instead. My thought is why not some sort of elevator? Or better yet, put the school down onto the ground level near the houses.

My thoughts too when I read it. At least he he did it voluntarily before the Muszzies gave him free flying lessons.

Maybe calling it a “Darwin” instead of “selfie” would be more accurate. And how long before some Democrat requires a safety label on the selfie stick about the dangers of this practice?

“a South Korean tourist fell in northern Peru while taking a selfie at the Gocta waterfall, one of the tallest waterfalls in the world. He plunged more than 1,600 feet.”
It seems almost cartoon-ish. I bit a hole in my lip trying to keep from laughing. RIP.
