That may be true. However, the incident for me represents more of a quirk of human nature than anything else. Neither we nor the other passengers had paid for first class; therefore, none of us deserved to receive it.
I did, one time, fly first class. That was because I had arrived for an overbooked flight, and I was traveling on orders. I had to wait until the last minute for the flight crew to find me a seat, and that seat just happened to be an aisle seat in first class. To compound the situation, the woman in the window seat asked if I would mind trading, since her husband was in the aisle seat in the next row up. Oh, break my heart--first class AND a seat with a view, all for the price of coach! (I like sitting next to the window; it distracts me from the fact that I'm in a small, crowded, enclosed space.)
Maybe all the Marxists got off the plane?
I was once stuck in Shreveport...waiting for hours. I think American Airlines was trying to wait us out, and even told us we’d probably miss our connection in Dallas...but 5 of us were hold outs, and I think they actually flew the plane from Dallas to Shreveport to pick us up. Just 5 of us on the plane.
When we got to Dallas, sure enough the Dallas to KC flight had been delayed, and we had not missed it. Slightly more people, and landed in Dallas around 1:30.
Sounds like we had similar experiences with different airlines.
Aren’t they all mostly gay now?
My family and I landed in KC AFTER the airport had closed. The whole place was deserted. Plus we had already been traveling for 36 straight hours. Plus we all had caught the flu. Plus we had a 15 month old baby with us.
My clearest memory was Mrs lafroste walking through the empty terminal loudly swearing like a sailor. I didn't even know she knew those words. Just wow.
My gosh! Have ya SEEN a “hot stewardess” in the last 30 years? They’re “attendants” now, and either post-menopausal or homosexual.
I'm sure the cabin crew would have been eager to oblige.
This happened to me on a 747. I was the only passenger.
The good ole days. I fley from Austin to Minneapolis. I wasted a first class upgrade. There was me and 2 others in coach. The others got a free upgrade. There was a crew of 6 with 3 passengers. I think it was a 757.
The plane was being returned to Atl anyway
I fly fairly often for business and I can tell you that 'hot stewardesses' are a relic from the past. Sadly, an extinct species. They've largely been replaced by mostly gay men.
“Bow chicka waa waa”
Laz, you truly are a lesbian trapped in a man’s body!
;^)
Delta wanted the equipment at the other end for start of business the next day. The plane would have flown empty.
Who cares?
Did they unroll the sidewalks for you at 2am? (I live in Leavenworth County) ;-P
In many ways it has faded from memory. I’ve used it in mixed company as a “dog whistle” to my fellow Americans. It’s fun to see the look of recognition among the 45 and older crowd.
Yep. That’s pretty common.
