Police said there is no record that he ever filed a tax return or held a job, Must have been a congressman.
Or Chicago politician.

“I hope they end up flat broke and regretting their stupid decision.”
More likely is that they’ll end up flat broke, and WE’LL regret their stupid decision (who do you think will be paying for their Section 8 housing and food stamps?).

No Estate Tax until you get to a net estate (after expenses) of $5.45 million. Still, it’d be funny if they HAD to sell some of the guns or ammo to pay taxes.

So, all he had was a RV and 5 mil in guns and ammo?

I have no problem with this. People can be as dumb as they wish. It’s their property.

some people are dumb as cowturds
but at least they are only destroying their own property and not trying to confiscate or destroy anyone else’s property or rights like the D party bosses, Obama, etc

Well, $250K in cash...
...and some rather large bills for unpaid taxes, penalties and interest. I’m thinking that not only will his net estate be well under $5.45 million, but that the guns and ammo won’t be destroyed after all - because the IRS is likely to come in and seize them, then sell them to pay his debt to them. If the family destroys these items, they are going to have to deal with the IRS.
The ironies are piling up like crazy in this case.

Something tells me the 5 mil figure is greatly exaggerated. $1000 each is only 1.5 mil. Either they are all very high dollar guns or he had a few rail cars full of top of the line ammo.

I think it is clear he was a lawyer.

How much do they have to pay in tax? Or is the state one of those that you get to keep all the money?
To: dennisw
Some day they are going to wish they had those guns.
What idiots.

I was wondering if they will destroy the cars - over 35,000 car deaths a year in the USA.

If the estate is worth more than that 5.45 million and they destroy the guns which could have been sold to pay the estate taxes, they’ll be liable for the estate taxes themselves.
They’ll be shooting themselves in the foot if they actually destroy those weapons.

What do you suppose the chances are the government is going to go in and seize that stuff?
Considering the value, the equipment, and the fact that there is no record he ever filed a tax return, the heirs many not have any choice about whether the guns and ammo are destroyed.

There is more to the story than is evident in the Breitbart report. His statements about the CIA and aliens sound like those of an insane man, but how did he get the money and the guns if there is no evidence that he was ever employed? He would seem too unstable to hold a job or make a profit in illegal enterprises.

I would like them to hire my firm, “Enviro-Friendly Gun Destroyers, Inc.” I will remove the offensive material to an off-site location, and provide documentary evidence that everything has been destroyed.
As I consider this to be a public service and civic duty, I will not charge a fee. Handling this task will make the world a better place, so it will be my honor to do it.
