Yeah, those Datsuns were cool too. That one’s either a 240 or 260 Z.
There’s a guy in my area who has a fully restored 240 in orange and it is great looking.

My first car was a brand new 69 Camero. It cost a little over $3,000 off the show room floor.

In '72, I bought a '67 Camaro two months before I turned 16. (like this one)
Traded it a year later for a '72 Mach One like this one
Ever try to get the entire Junior and Varsity cheerleading squads in a Mach One with you?
Ahhhh...memories

Hahaha, I put about 140K on my first car I bought as a young sailor, a 1976 MG Midget.
I had The British Sports Car Disease too...learned everything about working on cars with that one, including kneeling before Lucas, The Father of Darkness!

Call me crazy, but I loved the 6.9 Mercedes of the 1970’s. Big, brash, grey market beast that I saw beat a 308 in a sprint. The prototype of the future AMG miracles. BAMF.

What I wanted at 16 was an MGBGT - I had a neighbor who put a small-block Chevy motor in one and it was a blast. What I ended up with was a worn out MG Midget.

The '62 Chevy Bel-Air that had belonged to my grandfather, sitting under the shed adjoining our farm.
It's the only thing of is that I had. He passed away two years before I was born.
Finally restored it to roadworthiness when I was 18 and I drove it around college for a few years.
Then some years later I sold it to a dedicated auto restorer. I saw it again a few months ago and though part of me wishes to have it again, it now truly is the thing of beauty that it deserves to be.

The 289 at first, then the 427 a few years later. Sorry about the size, but reducing such gorgeousness seems a sin.

I had a 1986 turbo 1911. Horsepower was not so much by todays standards. Handling was good until the back end snapped around. Todays cars (911s too) are much better. My 2013 Audi S6 today has brutal take off and handles better, though much heavier.
