May the worst throwaway of money you ever experience be $625. Piker!
Sorry to hear that lee martell ((((Hugs)))I sent 1,000.00 to an Italian for a camera.Never received it.Money Order Game.
Thanks. I’ll keep that option in mind.
I don't need the answers, but you should consider them.
No biggie. Just remember jeb threw away hundreds of millions of dollars earlier this year in his bid to win the GOP nomination.
Every year around mid-April.
One Thousand Dollars....Gone?
You must be a professional. I suppose some cameras suited for motion pictures would be worth even more. I suspect real cameras are purchased less these days because of digital cameras being so accessible for the average photographer.
Well - just think of how many times you’ve found $20 in a pair of pants or a suit coat you forgot about.
My older sister went on a vacation. She hid all of her jewelry in the bedroom trash can and tossed tissues on top of it. Came back from vacation and tossed it all out. A week later she was looking for her jewelry and couldn’t find it in her jewelry box. It finally dawned on her what she had done. Family heirlooms, etc. She had some really nice stuff. I think it was $50,000 plus that she put the claim in for. She had a few things that she wore on the trip.
I had a similar instance with some rarely used work attire (tyvek suits, resperators, etc.). We kept them in a couple of black garbage bags in the shed. When it came time to need them we couldn’t find them anywhere. I had a vague sense that they got tossed doing some straightening up in there month’s prior.
Duh!
Several from which to choose.
Cash would be “gone, baby, gone.” but you have a good chance to have your money refunded.
Take action right away.
Good luck, best wishes and God speed.
Famous last words of the compulsive Worker Bee: “Just straightening up, that’s all!”
Pawn shops are great for short term storage of jewelry or electronics while on vacation. Sure you pay interest, but you can decide the amount and you get a cash loan for your trip as well as secured and guaranteed safekeeping for your valuables.
I once took the accumulated detritus gathered in my pocket over a day and threw it in a camp fire. Along with a $20.00 bill and two ones. I watched them burn. For a split second I thought of making a grab for them but realized I’d wind up with a burnt hand and mostly burnt money. That was almost 40 years ago, when twenty two bucks meant a lot more to me than it does now.
It was a pro camera that I was going to use as backup. The guy even called me from Italy. This was a third party transaction.Gone.
Eat It.

That’s a great idea! So obviously they only sell the stuff if you don’t pay back the loan? (I’ve been in a pawn shop once - thinking I could buy some tools on the cheap - they weren’t!)
Ugh. I am SO sorry. And ... yes, yes I have. When I do this kind of thing I try to console myself with amortizing it over a lifetime and make it a cost of doing life business.
I hope you recover my friend.
Years ago I had the bright idea one year to burn all of my Christmas present wrapping paper in the fireplace. Included in the blaze was a nice crisp $100 bill given to me by a relative. My siblings still taunt me about burning money.
$100. Smackeroos, up in smoke!
