Maybe he's just saying. I figured he would not pick a former candidate.
I'd like to see Jeff Sessions, for one.

Trump/ Rubio.
Trump is 70 with a hot young wife . . .
Welcome Rubio to the White House. And Trump would be the guy getting him there. Hahaha

Mere pleasantries. He’s holding his cards close to the vest on this one.

Sounds like the Trump supporters on here are ok with these floated names by Trump. He might as well name Bush as VP
then. His supporters would be ok with him too it sounds like

I’d prefer Scott Brown. A white woman candidate than doesn’t get duped into hispandering.
I think Trump will get kudos that he doesn’t need Cruz to be awkward and endorse him at a later stage.

The Republicans have no electable candidates.
The GOP nominee must win at least 63% of the white vote to win the election.
Let me put that in historical perspective:
In 2012, Mitt Romney became the first presidential candidate in American history to win 59% of the white vote - and lose the election.
The all time American record is just 66% of the white vote - by Ronald Reagan in 1984.

He’s will need a conservative to dissimulate his liberal instincts with non tRump Rangers.

He is “just saying”. I wouldn’t put any stock in speculations. When he says “yeah I could”...well sure he could, doesn’t mean he will.

Sounds more like being polite and noncommittal while not burning any bridges. No wy he goes with Rubio or Kasich - possibly Walker because he dropped out so quick that his campaign is a forgotten deal for most.
I like your Sessions choice.

None of the above. I think it will be Carson. Trump will never give Cruz that position.
