ALL guns guns tend to do that when you put your booger-hooker on the trigger.
I wouldn’t have a double action semi auto for anything but a paperweight. DAO or a Glock type trigger will work. I grew up with much modified 1911’s, dominated the local speed events for a while, and I never could master the first shot DA, subsequent SA shots. I can’t imagine a new trainee trying to use one.
I also carry daily a Glock 30 .45 ACP. It works like an AKM, shoots anything you feed in it and accurate as well. When I first got it, I thought it felt like a club and hated it, but a few thousand rounds later.....
That was the .38 S&W. Not the .38 S&W Special. Big difference.
But a .45 (or the .40) is still necessary in a war zone.
Some of the chicks couldn’t handle a .357. It has to be something that a 91 pound combat solider can readily handle.
Because the Beretta M9 works. I've never had a jam or failure to eject from mine in over 1000 rounds. I love it. Why change now?
In my opinion, when someone can’t handle a certain firearm it’s because they don’t want to.Anyone can do almost anything if they want to hard enough.
My vote would be for the Glock 31, along with the SIG MPX sub-machinegun in 357 SIG.
> The problem with a revolver is reload.
You’d only need reload if your were in a fire fight.
If you were in a fire fight, then you’d probably want a rifle.
I have a model 22 Glock in .40 cal.
It is a first generation Glock and jammed halfway through the first box of ammo.
The same thing happened to nearly every one of the first group of .40s.
A bit of internal polishing solved the problem.
Recently, the SEALS have officially added the Glock 19 to their arsenal.
Or you could Google Philipine Insurrection to learn that the lack of stopping power of the .38 S&W and other such mouse guns as the 9mm led to the development of the .45 ACP.
For 105 years now we have had a more than adequate service pistol, fully developed, and one which our special operators overwhelmingly choose over the "issue" Beretta 9mm.
“I would go with a 38 revolver”
Why? I thought the point was to _kill_ the enemy, not annoy them and give them a reason to harm you.
Pull trigger, goes boom.
Don’t pull trigger, doesn’t go boom.
There’s no “I pulled the trigger because I thought it would not go boom” BS.
Really? Why don't you read up on how they performed during the Moro Uprising?
It's shocking there's still this much ignorance of guns, in this age.
I shoot mine in competition, sometimes two matches a month. I don't win matches, but my carry gun gets a workout.
Army Special Operations Command and the rest of the Special Ops are following each other. Along with the SEALS adding the Glock so has the Marines’ MARSOC.
Please explain the mechanical issues with "friggin" Glocks.
There aren't any.
With proper training and a good holster, the manual safety is not needed, especially in a combat environment.
The CSA has my approval to buy “off the shelf”, but he needs to find a caliber that starts with 4, as Joaquin Jackson said years ago.
Methinks I see the problem in that situation, and the issue isn’t the gun.
Indeed, train with empty chamber. And the 17/19 mag interchangeability is definitely a plus.
