and thereby Beretta, in another decade.

I got mine...and then some. They can get theirs. Let's throw down and see who is the better.

Love the S&W model 25. I learned to shoot and reload for handguns on that gun. Needless to say, I carry a Glock 20 and have a suppressor coming for it soon. The Glock pistol is the ultimate combat pistol and our military would be wise to recognize the advantages of its design. It’s cheap, simple, reliable, incredibly durable, accurate, and shootable. It lends itself to rapid follow up shots, magazine changes, and accessorizing and is easily mass produced.

Agreed. Glock is the wrong choice as a service pistol, as the only so called “safety” is on the trigger. Bad choice for privates to carry.

Not to mention that you have to pull that trigger with the *safety* on it to remove the slide for disassembly. And if that not-yet-fully-trained private has removed the magazine without then clearing the chamber the next question will be if the muzzle is covering something he/she doesn't really want to shoot.

When I was in SF, after firing thousands of rounds, we started having a lot of problems with locking blocks cracking and jamming the M9. Always fun trying to fix that problem, because you didn’t know if the pistol had cycled a new round into the chamber, or if it was spent brass in the chamber. And unless you have a spare locking block somewhere, you are SOL.
