Is that kind of like praising the fathering half of OJ ?
After all OJ killing his children’s mother does not mean he is a bad father

If we’d had Gingrich/ Cain in 2012, I am pretty sure we would NOT have had

Planned Parenthood getting away with selling- My God, I just can’t even TYPE it.

Openly gay & trannies in the military OR gay marriage.

0bamacare

So the so-cons just shot themselves in the foot by ‘’staying home’’ & dragged the rest of us down with them. Now, they’re in for an encore.

The only ‘’consolation’’ (WRONG word. Totally wrong) is that Mitt was no loss.
(The same Mitt who is now shilling for Cruz & Rubio. Or himself. OR Jeb)

Mitt would have been IDENTICAL to the last 0bama term.

Grin. And they still don’t get that the natives are pissed at their continued panda bear fest. Bear, not beer.

This would be a form of recognizing the grace of God. That in a bad situation, God kept it from being worse.

One isn’t going to be able to prevail against the broader agenda of PP anyhow (remember Margaret Sanger the hater) until one gets it out of one’s head that it’s ONLY about abortion. By calling it ONLY abortion, a plethora of failing strawmen are evoked, and the result is the sad fails we keep on seeing (no, Congress has not defunded this).

And that might result in having to stand before some mirrors ourselves and adjusting our figurative toupees. How many of us, right now, are nodding and winking at, if not actually doing, what the non abortion wing of PP is pushing? Maybe we are mostly hypocrites when we complain about Donald Trump sticking up for that. Maybe Donald Trump is a better populist than we thought, for good or for ill.

I will as energetically and enthusiastically campaign for Cruz as I do for Trump. I just think Trump is the better vessel for a 1st wave attack on the PC inertia that grips DC

Trump is merely the 1st wave of a multi wave assault. The 1st wave job in any assault is to shatter the defenses and open the road for the follow up waves. No matter how flawed you think the vessel is, Trump is the best 1st wave political assault team we have had to hand in my lifetime.

We need to use Trump for all he is worth to shatter the corrupt, PC inertia that controls our Government. Break that inertia and change is possible. Do not an we slide into a stagnate European style decline that will not end in my lifetime. Cruz shares that agenda point but is not as well equipped by background and media following to achieve that break through as Trump

This is our generation's “go” time. We either win this now or we have little chance of ever doing it again politically. I am really not willing to leave this fight to my kids and grand-kids.

Weird answer, you are the one who cites false examples, I’ve refuted in detail on other threads...

Refuted several times before....

Do you need me to type slower or louder for you???

It’s sad if you really believe the crap you type or just patently dishonest if you don’t....

So which is it, delusional or a liar?

Everyone on FR enjoys spirited and honest debate on issues... but the constant propaganda you spew does nothing to further the discourse for members on this site.

Well said

I’d like to be enthusiastic about Cruz but if he is somehow segued into the candidacy, we will be looking at yet another designated loser and I’ve just had enough of those since Perot took out GHWB

I will need to find a way to become apolitical , focused on family , and below the radars of any Hillary Clinton surveillance agencies screening our loyalties

Trump seems to be worth, at best, what populism is worth.

America, happily, has a “We The People” that on average still stands well to the right of its government. Most leftism is urged on in America by government and a small set of activists.

It is not the best theoretically possible sun in which to make hay, but it is far from the worst. And the worst is snapping hard at our heels.

I’m a Cruz supporter and will vote for Trump in the general election. At this point it is about a 95% certainty that he will be the Republican nominee.

But I would gladly suffer under four years of Clinton or Sanders if it would rid me of this constant barrage of insults, rancor, animosity, mocking, ridicule, and general nasty behavior that has descended upon Freerepublic.

Yes, there are some Cruz supporters that need to shut it up as well, but I have been told by Trump supporters that they do not want or need Cruz supporters to vote for Trump in the general election, that I am the most liberal poster on Freerepublic, that I am a vile, petty, liar.

Now all of this because I simply do not support Trump in the Primary. And I have been very open about why I do not.

Do you want to know my big sin? Although I like a lot of what he says, I do not have confidence that he will govern guided by conservative principles. Since I believe that Cruz will, I support Cruz over Trump.

For that I have had filthy, vulgar Freepmail sent to me. I have been called delusional and stupid.

Do you think that make me happier or more bitter toward Trump? Do you think I will work harder for him in the general after having been treated that way, or might it make me say “forget it, I took enough of a pummeling in the primaries by the very people I would need to work with now.”?

I have been concerned at level of devotion that the Trump supporters have, where I have seen even stalwart supporters of Trump such as LS and DoughtyOne be eviscerated for not praising Trump enough or even daring to give credit to another candidate for anything.

I have been a member of Freerepublic for 17 years. I have seen 9 election seasons including 4 Presidential elections on this site, and this year is the worst by a factor of 10.

In the past I have seen supporters of Tancredo, Hunter, Thompson, Cain, Gingrich, Huckabee and Santorum brow-beaten and cajoled into abandoning support for their candidate in order to vote for a candidate who can win. Romney and McCain were not spoken of highly here, but even those people who supported them from the beginning were able to post without a constant barrage of venom.

I suspect that the whole #NeverTrump movement has more to do with the behavior of Trumps supporters than with Trump himself. And that behavior could be what causes him to lose in the general election.

Think about the ramifications what you post, or say, and try to be constructive. That’s just good advice for all interactions.

I feel your pain ASB...but I don’t hold Trump responsible...I do and will hold those so-called FReepers responsible. I’ve seen it from both sides, I don’t keep “score”.

I have not said that I won’t support the nominee, yet, for calling attention to idiotic gross generalizations posted by FReepers, I’m an open borders traitor or my observations are just plain ignored with nary an apology or mea culpa in sight. Sigh...

It is unnecessary and quite divisive to FR for these folks to be able to continue with their vile and personal attacks against other FReepers.

I’ve seen the lingering effects here on FR after the last election...I suspect it will be worse after this one.

I pray I’m wrong, but count me as one who is in your camp. FReepers need to self-police each other if folks are getting out of hand. Just because one is a fellow supporter of your candidate, doesn’t mean you should tacitly condone their crass behavior by ignoring it.

We’re going to have to “live” with each other on FR long after this election is over.

Or you could not give a crap what other freepers say or think. It’s you opinion and you’re “entitled” to it. Kinda my thinking. There aren’t really any can’t-i-dates that blow my hair back. Both parties have fielded lack luster folks. The dems positioned left wing radical extremists that promise the moon for free. The gopE, mediocre choices. Do I like everything any of them say? Hell no. Bits and pieces here and there and pray for the best. I’m pretty much politically incompatible with just about everybody on some level. :>) Is there discontent even on FR? YUP!

I would support any Republican who wins the nomination.

Trump is not a Republican.
