I don’t trust Ted anymore. Ted wore “the only principled conservative in the race” like a priestly garment. It kind of stinks now with all the crap he got on it.

So ironic that the title of his book is “A Time For Truth”. Highly disappointed I bought it, and believed it. I wonder if he will give me a refund?

I won't bash the guy, but it's kind of silly to write a dozen paragraphs in the lead-up to calling Trump a "flip flopper" when Ted Cruz is also one. Additionally, at the end of the article, he gets it wrong saying that Cruz "helped defeat" the Gang of Eight Bill. Defeating the bill was never his intention.

All that have seen from the political class since Reagan is a never-ending march towards totalitarian statism. Trump has been fighting bureaucrats and regulators for 50 years. As many conservatives have argued, they can't get the corporatist Republicans to enforce the law because they see illegal aliens as a source of cheap labor.

I guess you must mean "corporate," not "corporatist," which is something else.

The Washington conservative Establishment hasn't been much concerned with illegal immigration over the years.

It's only recently that they've started to care (or to claim that they do). Remove the pressure on them and they'll return to their old ways.
