No, I didn't miss the point.   No president (including Ronald Reagan) ever divulges the exact tactics they will use as president, or how they will accomplish their promises.   (That is a good trait, not a bad one.   It is foolish to reveal every single thing before you start working to get people together on a project, as that only invites failure.   If presidents try to do anything in an unlawful way, there are remedies for that, and while they may be scared to use them on Obama, they would not be scared to use them on Trump.)

One thing that Trump demonstrates that the rest of these candidates do not, is that he nearly always accomplishes what he sets out to accomplish.   Here are a few quick examples from the past (with links) of some of Trump's goals, and their successful fulfillment, which you will do well to take a look at and think about.

• Trump rebuilt the huge, world-class Wollman skating rink in NYC, finishing it early and under budget, like he promised.

• Vietnam Veterans Plaza (aka "New York Vietnam Veterans Memorial"), which Trump played an instrumental role in bringing about.

Very true, and it is easy to see how Trump and his team are doing these things in a planned manner, which is at least several steps ahead of their competition's understanding of them.  

Like you pointed out, Trump had Cruz having to repeatedly respond to that possibility, and the steps he was going to do to address that possible action of Trump.   (Likewise with the Pope situation, and the strong possibility now that all fair-minded Christians will end up siding with Trump in that remote exchange.)

This is how Trump does business. The least goes wrong he uses it to not pay, he threatens to sue. Because of his reputation for being a sewer, he is taken seriously, this is how he makes money, people just give in because after being screwed by trump on projects they can’t afford the legal expenses. I am not making this up, this is how he rolls.

He so used to people rolling over after a lawsuit threat, he doesn’t know what to do when it doesn’t work.
