EXCELLENT post. The “holier-than-thou” attitude from Team Trump against Cruz is the absolute height of hypocrisy. Especially since they like to claim it’s Cruz who acts “holier-than-thou.”
No one has skewered Obama, the Democrats and the GOP establishment like Ted Cruz has over the last 4 years. Nobody. He is the conservative movement’s single greatest asset. And Donald Trump is out to destroy him.
Cruz focused on the issues that matter, the left-wing agenda and the crony capitalist corruption in D.C., of which Trump openly admits he himself participated in. While Cruz was doing that, Trump was focused on Obama’s silly birth certificate issues, contributing nothing of any substantive or lasting value to the national conversation on what direction we want our government and our country to go in. Trump’s current political campaign continues to be built around smear tactics, dishonest innuendo and schoolyard insults. This is not the kind of thing we needed an “outsider” to come in and give us more of.

Cruz is as American as can be, but foreign born, to a non-American father and held a foreign passport until some months ago. Hmmm. Somehow, they all don’t add up!!

My venomous words? LOL. I’m not the one who posted a vanity telling anyone’s supporters to “shove it”. First I think when Trump has the nomination the vast majority of other Republicans will vote for him over the alternative. In any case though, Republicans only make up about a quarter of the electorate. Independents make up nearly half, and Trump will score huge there, far more than the few bitter Cruzor Losers who vow to never vote for Trump. Trump will also score millions of what used to be called Reagan Democrats, and will in the future be called Trump Democrats. So no, I’m not worried.
So OK don’t be worried, seems like you have the Donald all wrapped up and ready for the Christmas tree!

I wouldn't put it past the GOP-e to pull a repeat of what they did in 1964, if they lose control of the nomination to the Good Guys -- go scorched-earth.
Nelson Rockefeller, while the convention was going on, went on live, primetime TV to denounce Goldwater's delegates as "fascists" and "Nazis", this after Goldwater's people on various committees had afforded Rocky the courtesy of a covered "minority report" on credentials.
It was vicious and low and said something about the infinite self-privileging of the rich GOP elite. They've been asset-stripping the continent since 1860 and feel morally privileged to do so.
