The SCOTUS’s term ends in June. The Senate will not confirm before then and they will not confirm in October when the SCOTUS’s new term begins in the middle of the election.
I’m sure Mitch McConnell has already told Obama that he will now give him whatever and whoever he wants as a replacement for Scalia. The more Progressive and kookier, the better. Maybe Obama will choose Sheila Jackson Lee.
Obama will pick the next two justices. Ginsberg will retire next week. Turtle will roll over and approve both.
Even money as to which death list Scalia winds up on - Clinton or Obama.
What makes you so sure? Obama has some kind of control of McConnell. Blackmail or something. Obama WILL get another Prog Supreme Court Justice. Count on it.
The House has nothing to do with confirming Justices.
Mitch McConnell just release a statement of condolence and need to hold off until after the election for the next president to nominate a replacement for Justice Scalia.

If McConnell allows the Senate to vote on an Obama nominee, the Republicans will be trounced in the next election.
Hillary will pick Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.
Trump will pick Oprah, Melania and Ivanka.
Cruz will pick three decent people.
Obama has dirt on all the RINOs.
The race may now become who do you trust to pick the supreme court nominees.

Definitely, will McConnell’s actions match his words: “...Vacancy should not be filled until we have a new president.” per what Bret Baer just read.
They should refuse to approve Obama’s appointee, no matter what. If the Democrat wins in November, they can vote at that point. Obama gets the appointment that way, not the new democrat President. The game is over if a Democrat wins, anyway. But if the Republican wins, then no dice.
