OMG! Historic Storm to hit the mid-Atlantic in JANUARY!
I’ll bet this hasn’t happened in MONTHS!
Some years ago I lived in a row house with alley trash service and garages. I seem to recall we had 24”. After 3 days the alley still hadn’t been plowed and my husband had to drive to work. I went to all the neighbors on both sides of the alley between our house and the closest street. I urged them to come out and help dig out our alley and free our cars from their garages. Six or 8 people came out with shovels, someone brought out crackers, another cheese, and a third a bottle of wine. We got the job done in an hour and had fun working together.
I presume you meant could, not cold. To be like Snowmageddon where I was living, we would need 3 major storms of 15 or 20 inches and more over a two month period. My neighbors built an igloo in the small front yard after the third one. I just shoveled and shoveled and shoveled and ....
Yes, typo. my fingers are getting less accurate at typing the older I gat. ;-)
Sounds like a galvanic current, and a good idea. I’d often wondered if that would work, didn’t know iron and carbon would work like that.
Conductive concrete could keep roads safer in winter weather
