They are trapped in poverty because their money is confiscated by the government.
Join Calguns.net and post a question in their hangun area. Best of luck!
Step 1 - get out of CA
Both of us were born, raised, and worked in California our entire lives (please hold off the condolences). Being around 60 (+/- a few years), there isn't much interest in moving out of state.
Hey ,CatOwner
I’d like to apologise for these fruits and nuts,
California brings out the worst.
I’m in SoCal and could point you to six Great Gun Shops within
twenty minutes.
The shops are pretty busy right now, good Luck.
I visit 2 or 3 a week at least.
After these latest incidents I’ve
noticed a lot of older folks as first time
buyers.
They are cautious and a bit intimidated.
Search out a shop you like and go on a weekday
when it’s not so busy.
No problem. I understand the dislike of California from those who have never or previously lived in the state. I just find it annoying to be stereotyped into one large group.
It’s not a question of being creative in my mind. That odd little friend of the Islamic shooters is in a world of legal hurt right now because he got creative when he sold the ARs to his friends. As you likely know, in most states, but not California, it is perfectly legal to sell any kind of firearm to a resident of one’s own state. The gov’t has no idea who owns such weapons. If he bought the ARs for the murderous Islamic scum because they couldn’t pass a background check, he is now a straw purchaser under federal law as well as afoul of California law.
I just think this would be the wrong time to advise a Californian to go to Reno and pick up a gun there. If the original poster buys a gun legally in California, the state will know all his details. That’s how California chooses to operate when it comes to firearms. Could be a lot better, but it could be worse—eg New York.
True That,
some just go To far.
Hope you find what suits you.
I’ve been a shooter since a kid here in the desert and it used to be a great place for all types of firearms.
California was founded by Pioneers and the stout of Heart will stay no matter what !
I’ve shot miscellaneous guns in the past, so I am not completely unaware. My wife, OTOH, is a complete novice. But she’s the one pushing for a handgun for protection. We don’t live in a high crime area, but she wants the protection based on what’s happened in recent years. I can’t say I blame her.
Picked up a Ruger 38 special 5 shot double action only,
perfect pocket pistol, simple and reliable,
ladies love it.
Me Too.
Ok when the government comes for your gun, meet them on the front yard with the little key to your gun safe and the key to the trigger lock and use your digital finger print to give them your little 22 derringer because it was registered to you. Have it your way.
