As as fan of both Saints and Texans, yesterdays game was tough on me.

One thing did strike me though. I had never seen Brees so perplexed and off kilter in his entire HOF bound career with the Saints.

If this trend holds, The Pats may not want to take the Watt and the Texans lightly in a few weeks,

I am entertained by how you rationalize the failures of the Patriots. So players were hurt. It happens to both sides, doesn't it? Gee...who was unhealthy on the Broncos team? Nobody?

The fact is that the Pats didn't get away with their small penalties, shoves, holds, etc., like they usually do. With a QB as good as Brady, those "little" infractions bring advantages that matter a lot. One call was holding; it could have been illegal contact beyond the safe contact zone, which would have been a better call. Either one is a penalty committed by the Pats.

The road to the SuperBowl goes through Foxboro

Sure does: SUPER BOWL XLVI: Giants 21 New England 17

Glad I could entertain you.

Let’s see what happens in the next few weeks. The Pats do have it pretty easy. Looks like no gronkowski for the eagles game but amendola might be playing.

Gnats are waking up, but the skins didn’t care.

If the pats play out the schedule well enough to get home field -they win the afc.

After tonight’s game with the Browns and Ravens, all four “experts” were asked who their favorites for the Super Bowl were. I think all said Denver would make it and three said Carolina would represent the NFC. Ray Lewis predicted the Bengals and Panthers. Not a one of them picked the Patriots. Before the game last night everyone of them and 99% of the rest of the ESPN crowd were picking New England.Maybe these fools think Patriots will never get their players back from injury. Dilfer predicted Denver, led by a healthy Payton Manning will win it all.

Peyton has thrown his last pass.

I'm afraid that's true.

Denver is going to have their hands full with Carolina.

Watching the Carolina/Cardinal game now. Panthers looking good but they need to keep their foot on the pedal in the second half. Three times this year they almost lost after having big halftime leads.

I congratulate that great Denver defense for beating the Patriots. As great as the defense was Pats probably missed the Super Bowl due to the greatest placekicker in NFL history missing an extra point. How improbable is that? Manning reduced to a role player on this Denver team. They are all defense. I think either Carolina or the Cardinals would beat them, but then again, defense wins games, so Denver might end up winning it. Would be great so see Manning retire with his 2nd Super Bowl title.
