One guy went to military school, the other guy only got a scholarship to go to one. You do the math, Benji.
LOL, Trump has been vetted more than any other candidate. The hate around here goes beyond vetting.
Good grief. I’m not trying to personally attack you. I just like to see people put some actual thought in to their vote and be willing to show and explain that.
And yes, I think Trump is taking people for a ride. I do. And as I mentioned to Georgia Girl, the hero worship of Trump is distressing, because that’s what brought us Obama- no criticism, no critique allowed, we had to vote for him to save us all.
But you love and support Trump- again more power to you. But if I’m discussing something with someone and they to me aren’t being consistent or aren’t communicating in a way that comes across clear to me, or that makes sense to me, sometimes I’m going to be persistent in communicating back with them. That’s just me.
It’s not meant to be personal, and so I would hope you wouldn’t take it that way.
“I guess this qualifies him to be Commander and Chief.”
I wouldn’t think so, but he’s not my boy. I rank him just ahead of the least slimy GOPe slug.
“because that’s what brought us Obama- no criticism, no critique allowed, we had to vote for him to save us all.”
No criticism? Trump has been subject to intense scrutiny.
It looks like Carson got the dates incorrect.
General Westmoreland schedule indicates he was in the DC area on Memorial day 1969 that he had a morning meeting with the NSA Henry Kissinger; 11 AM Arlington Cemetery ceremony, and later Westomoreland had a 5 PM boat ride on the Potomac river.
The Detroit News say Westomoreland was in Detroit 3 months earlier Feb 18 for a banquet honoring Congressional Medal of Honor winner Dwight Johnson.
See, this just shows me that perspectives are very interesting. And words to me have meaning.
I doubt if ONE PERSON, or very many people here, literally HATE Donald Trump.
I mean, do you honestly believe that? Do you truly believe anyone here HATES Donald Trump?
Maybe you do. But for me, I see a lot of the same criticisms that you do. I’ll admit some people come across as more mature or more measured and mild than others.
But I seriously doubt if anyone HATES him. I think what they “hate” or are troubled by is here we are supporting a guy who was one of Obama’s biggest fans 6-7 years ago over nothing to go off of other than his own word that he’s “evolved” and changed. And again, I’ll say it again. I’ll buy that he’s maybe changed on some things. I won’t buy that he’s changed on EVERYTHING. He may not be a politician in the strictest sense, but he is running for political office. So to me, I want more than his word as the be all end all during a time in which he’s trying to convince people to vote for him. I mean, isn’t that a large reason why we’re in the mess we’re in? Because we trusted people running for political office based solely upon their word?
When I say vetting, again what I refer to is absolutely NOTHING that would trouble some Trump supporters about ANY other candidate in this race troubles them about Donald Trump. It’s automatically dismissed as a hit piece by the GOP establishment. Maybe some of that is true. But we can still either evaluate and decide whether what’s being presented is a point of concern or whether it isn’t. And again, more often than not, I don’t see people who are already supporting Trump doing that. There are some exceptions. And I appreciate those people who while still supporting a candidate, are nevertheless open enough and honest enough to say, “Hey this might be a problem. Or hey, he really needs to explain this.”
The "pro-abortion" decision was to nullify a bad law that mirrored one the USSC had struck down as unconstitutional the week before.
New Jersey lawmakers were told by then Gov. Whitman how to modify the law that it would be constitutional but they chose not to do so.
Do some research yourselves.
Again, as I just explained, not as I see it AMONGST his supporters. Any scrutiny is automatically dismissed.
Although, once again, there are exceptions and as I also said, I’ll give those people credit every time- or try to anyway. As a matter of fact, Doughty has been one in the past by name that has done so. There are others who I am not familiar enough with who nonetheless will be critical of him, mostly for his instinctual behavior to attack rather than stay on message and stay on issues.
“And yes, I think Trump is taking people for a ride. I do. And as I mentioned to Georgia Girl, the hero worship of Trump is distressing, because that’s what brought us Obama- no criticism, no critique allowed, we had to vote for him to save us all.

Trump has been criticized and critiqued by almost every politician, member of the media and a great many members here. Has anyone found anything in his 30-40 years career in the public eye that is derogatory without distorting the facts, taking partial quotes, or last when all else fails, say his position was different 20 years ago.
He has written three books addressing his positions, first in 2000, second in 2011 and last just this month. His positions are basically the same in all three.
Trump supporters consistently point this out and I believe communicate the facts well.
The problem seems to be that people who don’t support Trump disregard or ignore every single fact.
Well, I’m trying to do some research and you’re right about Alito.
Her rationale and her argument about it “not mattering where a fetus was when it expired” still does not sit right with me. But I’ll continue to read.
Some of the best people I know do not evangelize and I don't know exactly what they believe.
So how do I know they are good people?
Because they love their families, they love their neighbor, they are loyal, they are true to their word, they work hard, they believe in following the law and in justice, they appreciate the works of God and are grateful.
In other words, they follow the laws of God even if they don't say so.
I am much more likely to believe these types of people having a Godly center than those who say they do.
Yes, they display outight hatred. Even hatred at supporters. You can’t miss it.
Quite frankly, it is pretty awful. It is one thing to say the usual things we here over and over about candidates. It is another to act vile and spend time all day being totally nasty.
When a person is nasty, they can expect nasty back. Nobody is perfect around here, but there are some who are far worse.
To go along with my post at #106, Carson conceded about the dinner date to Chuck Todd today.
“Ben Carson admits he didn’t have dinner with Gen. Westmoreland on Memorial Day”
Trump and God.
Look, nobody knows but the person and God. I don’t care about Trump being pious, I just want him to run the country in a way that’s loving and beneficial to all the citizens. I call that Godly.
He doesn’t have to preach.
I so agree with you.
So? Maybe he under reported their worth. Most successful business people don’t know their true worth - they have a slew of accountants doing that for them. So, what is this hit piece of a book you are talking about, and who is this author? I could care less - maybe you are envious of Trump’s money?
The first early pictorial representation of Jesus had him with blond hair.
Well, I surely wouldn’t want a soft-spoken commander in chief whispering “uh, okay, Charge”...with his eyes closed.
