The candidates can impose conditions for someone that wants to host the debate.
They have NO right to demand someone host a debate.
Can't hurt.
Yes, it can. They would look like idiots, and voters would rightfully question the Republicans' alleged commitment to limited government.
Your "demands" are something I'd expect from Bernie Sanders.
There are a number of companies that can livestream a broadcast (even to millions of viewers), and host the video after the fact.
But, if YouTube is so bad, then why are they already hosting these?

However, it's worth noting that the last one has been blocked by the copyright holder, NBC News. That speaks volumes about who is the real problem.
That statement was VERY uncalled for. Ideas and suggestions are not out of the question for any subject, ask Einstein or Bell who was told nothing would work.
I forgive you though.
But, you got the point, didn't you?
I'm always amazed at "conservatives" that claim they are for limited government, until they find something THEY want to force others to do.
And they are completely oblivious to their own hypocrisy.
Hear! Hear!
I tend to think what you said is what some people want.
Bush will fight hard to retain the TV venue. The Conservatives need to simply refuse to participate and make their own arrangements for Internet debates.
For some reason, he seems to think that favors him. Perhaps he think he can answer in Spanish on Telemundo, and win the Hispanic vote.
But, the truth is that Bush has been completely out-classed every time he has stood at the podium in a debate where he can't control the conversation. He should be wanting to LIMIT the audience that sees his disastrous performance.
The fact that he doesn't realize that is more illuminating than anything else he has said or done.
Internet-only broadcast of the debates - brilliant.
What point? That God all our inventors throughout our history never listened to those Self Righteous no it all's who said "it can't be done"
Must be painful to be so self righteously snarky.
“THAT GOD”....THANK GOD
Yes, but when they make statements rather than respond to questions, they tend to go into their stump speeches. Once in a blue moon you learn something new when they are questioned.
Of course, if the questioners are blooming idiots with an agenda all you learn is what blooming idiots the “journalists” are.
