Exactly.
The most romantic scene they could have has already been filmed, imo. Back at Herschel's farm, after Daryl almost got killed trying to find Sophia. Carol peeked into his room and told him that even though he didn't find Sophia, he had done more for her daughter than today than her own father had done in her entire life.
Daryl (not used to any compliment, especially not one as meaningful as that) shrugged it off. "I didn't do anything more than what Rick or Shane would have done."
Carol: "You're every bit as good as them. Every bit."
BOOM! That said it all right there. Any slobbering scene between them could never equal that :)
One part was real time, the other flashback.
This was a significant plot point. Afterwards there was a conversation between Carl and Rick where Carl explains the reason he did it, in that almost every time Rick has shown someone outside the group some mercy, it has backfired and gotten a group member killed. He was turning into Shane/Governor. This is why Hershel convinces Rick to stop going out on runs and become a farmer, to be a better influence on Carl and take him back from the brink. This works until the governor comes back and destroys the prison. While Carl and Rick are in the house recovering, and Rick is asleep, Carl lists the people that Rick couldn't protect and are dead now, and says, "I'd be fine if you died." Outside Terminus Carl confesses to Michonne, "I am not what he thinks I am. I am just another monster."
It was generally only the day before. If you did not have that, it would have been horribly difficult to follow without captions.
One of the things I’ve read is that this season is supposed to be just about a single day (outside of the flashbacks.)
LOL
Love the green shirt.
Z N is so bad, it’s funny.
Last episode was laugh out loud funny in some parts.
I would love to see TWD people on it in complete opposite characters.
I agree! thx for articulating the way i feel
DOH!!!!......LOL!
I’m incredibly impressed you know all their names...
I don’t think Glen’s dead. The look on his face wasn’t pain, it was horror. I think Nicolas’s body (lunch) is shielding him. Just my opinion.
And you’re right, there has been a lot of munching this season. Maybe scale is cheaper? Bleeding, leading, and a lower bottom line:-)
You are hoping....for live Glenn or zombie Glen?
You're right, and he wasn't screaming as someone had earlier stated.........
Wonderful scene-—loved it. It actually started me somewhat shipping them, and then I shifted into full gear at the start of the third season, when Carol made the “Want to fool around” remark, and the one that followed.
Do you think Glenn is really dead?
If he isn’t, it had better be a scenario so mindblowingly brilliant that nobody could have seen it coming.
The integrity of the shows depends on it.
All he’s got to do is scoot under the dumpster.
Outside Terminus Carl confesses to Michonne, "I am not what he thinks I am. I am just another monster."
I hadn't thought of this before, but Carl thinks he's a monster until they meet REAL monsters--The Claimers. And sees his father turn into an even greater monster to escape them. He hasn't acted like "Rick Jr." since then.
All kidding aside, what's your fixation with sex?
These folks aren't surviving in an established community, they're mobile and Alexandria is nothing more than a way station in their travels just as Terminus was.
Their world isn't one that is conducive to having sex to perpetuate the human species.............
Does it really matter? While this series deals with death and gore, it's refreshing to see that gratuitous sex isn't a necessity to maintain viewership........
For sure.
To say nothing about the controversy that occurred here......LOL!
