It’s been said that if you meet your doppelganger, you don’t have much time left to live.
Some have posited that God has a Plan for everybody, and everybody has a date with Mr. Death. If your appointment occurs in a fashion such that events which you were supposed to influence fail to happen by your own volition or by no fault of your own, the doppelganger arises to implement them prior to your death.
My wife bumped into mine one late night.
I received a frantic phone call, five minutes later, as she had kissed me goodnight, while I was on the PC, just before laying down to bed, when she later realized I was some 70 miles away.
Yossarian: Doctor, I see two of everything.
Doctor: Hmm. [Holds up a finger]. How many fingers do you see?
Yossarian: Two. Doctor: [Holds up two fingers]
How many now? Yossarian: Two.
Doctor: By George, he sees two of everything!
The only thing different was that the other guys eyebrows were a little bushier than my son’s. Otherwise, a perfect match!

My wife showed me a picture, sent to her by a friend on F.B., of a convicted 20 year old rapist who had escaped somewhere in Oklahoma. He was a ringer for my 15 year old son. (We are in Illinois)
I live/work in NW Indiana and listen to WGN all the time.
I was looking at some pictures on line. I came across a picture of my son. I tried to figure out where the picture had been taken. I figured it was at a friend’s house. When my son came home from school I asked him where the picture had been taken.
He couldn’t remember where it had been taken either. We kept trying to it out. All of a sudden my son noticed the guy had a tiny eyebrow piercing so we knew it couldn’t have been him.This happened more than 10 years ago but I still think about it every once in a while.
I wish I had saved the picture.
