Wonder if End of the World fixation may be a coping mechanism reaction for dealing with changes we fear and cognitive dissonance distress?
Cultures, communities, and individuals all encounter things that threaten their beliefs, values and interests.
Europeans suffering savage Islamic invasion centuries ago, and now, likely have members resigning to the change and throw up their hands wondering (asking?) for the end to come.
Christians, Jews and Muslims witness social progress which liberates populace from strict norms, ie: heaven knows anything goes, and want to believe their God will intervene and restore order according to doctrine.
Things can and will get a lot worse as national borders disappear, and we all experience a standard of living level reset that global elite puppet masters have planned for us.
What’s seen as bad migration trends by a dwindling white middle class, is earnestly percieved as a good thing by immigrants from third and second world countries.
What will be lost in the next great melting pot era as we decline into irrelevance, is America’s positive impact on spreading freedom and innovation.
We have let communist ideology corrupt us, and along the way we’ve lost our domestic and foreign policy moral authority.
A future without America, at our best, invites corrupt tyrannical savagery of the past. Current event trends indicate very difficult times ahead.

So do I. Does George think we can’t tell a Snake Oil Salesman when we hear one? Think again. When they rattle on like an auctioneer about how much danger we are all in, and George lavishes them with compliments for everything under the sun, it’s probably an Infomercial in the making.
Lucky
Funny.
I have a friend, double masectomy, said the same thing.
I remember reading that when 1000 AD arrived, many in Europe thought the Millenium arrived, gave away their possessions, burned their homes, walked up to the top of the hill - and waited.
At 12:01 a.m. they had an “Oh Sh!t” moment.
What pi$$es me off that when I go, the world goes on. It’s not fair.
I thought of Jack Benny: “If I can’t take it with me, I’m not going.”
Then I heard George Burns (I think) say that he never saw a U-Haul towed by a hearse.
Just for the Helluvit, I think I’ll do that and spook people. :-)
I just miss Art Bell, I love his stories.
Amen brother.
Good book tells me that I’m not cleared for that information. Keep chopping wood and carrying water.
I believe that if anyone doesn't, they aren't Patriotic Americans, but that's just the Bitter Clinger in me.
I will never forget the Wookie’s comment to the Dear Leader at the 10th Anniversary of 9/11, “all this for a damn Flag”?
People read her Lips like Hal did with the Astronauts in the Movie 2001, A Space Odyssey
In that case, I can never forgive or forget. Two Traitorous POS Commie Bastards.
Conservatives say, America, love it or leave it. Liberals say, America, hate it and change it. Fits Obama to a tee.
I discovered this website a very long time ago. I’m glad that it’s still around. Helps with the ‘reality check’.
There is an asteroid that is going to destroy all life on the whole Earth on Halloween so stock up on food.
Almost every member of my family is now unemployed, underemployed, or about to be unemployed.
I’ve got three friends getting divorced and I now know three families that live in RVs full-time because they’re broke.
From everything that I can see right now, we’re in hell. Industries that previously were available for hard-working, able-bodied young men are not hiring. (Military, mines, oil...) Sure, there’s some regional stuff, but the big picture is grim.
He probably maxed out his credit cards.
One of my friends made a rather astute observation I thought, when he commented that in the grand scheme of time and the events that would occur leading up to the end times, it may be possible however it was highly unlikely we were in fact, living in the end times.
Over the course of mankind, history moves slowly was his point. I thought it was a pretty astute observation. Still think we're living in the end times though.
Some might say that the excesses of our time are best depicted from a chaotic, surreal painting by Hieronymus Bosch called The Garden of Earthly Delights.
For some people, the end of the world has already arrived. I think of those in ISIS captivity and those living in N. Korea.

Round here Roofers, Home Re-modelers, Masons, Carpenters, Electricians and Plumbers are booked 3 months out.
Concrete slab (a 2 day job) you have to wait 2 weeks and Metal Building Erectors are a month wait.
Around here, if you’re going through a company, you’re going to wait because they’ve intentionally cut themselves to a skeleton crew. The workers that they do have are working hell hours, but they won’t hire any more.
Oh! And they want to pay a master electrician with more than 10 years experience $13 an hour.
