He seems appreciative, too. Looking straight at her.

Some people like to use their dogs as weapons of irritation. Others use their children. It’s not a recent phenomenon.

Have you heard about the
kangaroo as service animal in a Wisconsin McDonalds?
Funny part of the article is that the city will still allow you to use a miniature horse as a service pet.
In other words, bringing a horse to McDonalds is okay but not a kangaroo.

It didnt seem to me the post was denigrating real service animals and the people who need them (such as real, disabled veterans) as much as otherwise healthy people who are dishonest enough to try to pass off their pets as service animals. You are correct. Maybe because of where I have lived, never yet seen a dog that was not helping someone that obviously had issues navigating. Here there is one guy my age rides a Harley with his dog in a small cage on his back. Brings him into the gym. Might be one of those stress relief things. Dog stays in the little cage while he works out and watches it all, no big deal.
Daily, I see Pomeranians (cute as hell) riding in shopping carts, Chihuahuas in purses, etc. "Service"? Servicing what? The woman's ego?
True "Service" dogs seems to be of size, and obviously alert and intelligent. This dog as a fashion accessory thing is a farce. I hope the dogs crap in those purses.

There is a woman up in Page, Arizona who brings a huge goat into the grocery store with her. The goat wears a diaper and everyone at the Safeway seems to know her and think it is “cute,” but when I ran into her and the goat in the produce aisle and saw the animal eating lettuce out of the bin, I turned around and left the store.

I took my old Jack (Black Lab/Newfoundland, were both old)down the mountain with me to Home Depot once, it was 35 degrees when we left the house and 89 miles down the mountain to Red Bluff, Ca.
Thought it would be nice and cool for him in the truck (always carry plenty of water) and I would only be in the store for about half an hour.
It was over 90 degrees when we pulled into the parking lot and not a spot of shade to be found.
Went inside to ask if they had any shade out back (maybe the loading dock), and was ready to turn back to home if not.
Guy at the door told me just to bring Jack into the store where it was nice and cool, so I did.
The big old fat man just plopped his shaggy butt down by courtesy counter and gave me the “I will wait for you right here look”, the girl at the counter said it would be just fine, she would look after him.
Took me only about 20 minutes to find the materials I needed and went back to round up Jack, pay the tab and leave.
When I got back to Jack he had 6 (and I counted them) store employees kneeling and sitting around him, petting him and giving him treats.
We paid the bill, thanked every body and went home, all the way back he just kept giving me the look of “see I told you every body loves me”.
Home Depot has been my first choice for materials ever since that trip.

Or maybe their 100 pound Dobe would rip your stupid face off.
Why don’t you try it and let us know how it worked out for you?

Home Depot and Lowes are two of the best places to socialize pups/dogs to new people.
Both stores have a liberal pet policy.

For the past five or so years, there has been a marked increase in incidents of pet owners who attempt to pass off their unsocialized pets as emotional support animals. Add to that the growing number of handlers who attempt to pass off their emotional support animals as service dogs, and you have the makings of a perfect storm that makes life more difficult for a demographic that already faces considerable challenges: the disabled. I have encountered that as well and it disgusts me that people would use that excuse for special privileges.

Seems to match the Safeway standards where I live (but for different reasons). Trying to think of what service the goat provides other than as an attention-getter for the owner.

You want to see heads explode?
Get an English car with right hand drive, and put your dog in the left hand seat.
