So what is the NKJV? And not to be a contrarian, what other versions are not?
“So what is the NKJV? And not to be a contrarian, what other versions are not?”
NKJV stands for the New King James Version. It came out about thirty years ago, and was incorrectly billed as a modernized King Jame Version; last revision of current KJV was about 1769.
Most of the versions today are not related to the KJV. There are many, many translations extant today.
The Modern English Version (MEV) (billed as a revision of the KJV) is a new translation that strives to retain the KJV version. It reads closely with the KJV, except for its modern English.

I go to biblegateway.com as a great resource. Download the app and explore its various tools; I like my Niv student bible as an actual book but the app has many advantages.
