This is right up there with one of the saddest stories I’ve ever read. Feeling quite repulsed and sickened. Like seeing a train wreck.

Here is my bottom line: Elizabeth got deceived on multiple occasions by Dan/ Diana on very important issues. Why did she stick with this person?

This is related to one of my fundamental questions about same-sex marriage-- Is gay sex outside of wedlock a sin? Yes, agnostics and atheists don't care about this question. But pro-LGBTA(QWERTY) Christians aren't asking this question. To ask the question honestly might provoke thinking instead of emoting.
Even if one is pro-LGBTA, how can you justify deceiving another person so thoroughly?

An extremely complex scenario for the spouses who elect to stay in the marriage. I imagine one of the worst parts is not having many people to talk about it with. How do you tell your now elderly parents, that their Son-In-Law will be henceforth known as their Daughter-In-Law?
Who knows what the children really think, since a critical perspective would be slammed on Facebook or angrily tweeted on Twitter?
Some spouses will divorce, because they see the marriage as having become null and void.
