There is not a single American looking more presidential than Donald Trump, now, and for a long time now.
Sure obama and Reagan pulled in crowds but unlike with Trump the media carried his water 24/7 as opposed to either ignoring or trashing Trump (and Reagan) that same 24/7.

I believe a better way to say it is, Trump talks with us rather than at or to us.

There were also folks *protesting* with Hellary for Prison signs, just outside the arena ;-)
I don't know if any of the video links have the preliminary speakers and music that went on before Trump spoke, but those people were all sensational. Robert Jeffers, a well-known evangelistic pastor in the Dallas area, gave the invocation. He pretty much came out and prayed that Trump would win! He also prayed that Trump and his family would be kept safe. Then a Latina (I think) lady sang the national anthem, and she was very good. Then two young women came out and gave rousing speeches, and boy did they light it up. Both of them went after the GOPe and the Democrats, HARD. One of them enumerated, instance by instance, all the dirty tricks that the GOPe had played on tea partiers.
Such a deal was made of the protestors. I was curious. I just saw a Reuters article that said “hundreds” showed up to protest. The picture showed only 8 or so. I think if there were “hundreds” they would have taken a dramatic picture.
