“Yeah, they forgot it.”
My thoughts exactly.
Even if they lose their job, which they probably wanted to happen anyway, they’ll each get 20% plus unemployment plus food stamps plus an 0bamaphone.
They can chill out for a year or so before looking for work again.
In reality, the armored vans don't have much money in them. The unmarked, smaller vehicles with a single courier carry the big cash. They even pay employees to dress as college kids with backpacks and ipod ear buds to deliver cash. They blend in really well, don't attract attention, and don't look like x3 uniformed Brinks guys.
Most armored car robberies are inside jobs...Crooks would know about these...and their delivery schedules and routes..just wondering..
Please see my #23
“No.
Talk about an inside job.”
Know a guy who loaded ATMs. Was robbed, shot twice center of mass with plain lead .38 Special rounds. Body armor stopped them but he was badly bruised. He was a prime suspect for awhile because the detectives thought it might be an inside job and the ammo was chosen specifically to not penetrate the vest.
That looks like the white van Chief Moose was looking for during the shooting spree by John Mohammed and Lee Malvo!
I'd advise that you be very, very quiet about it. People who routinely carry large amounts of cash in nondescript bags generally are not nice people and are not forgiving about misunderstandings concerning their money.
He/She won’t have to pilfer used tires for a while.
3 way split : )
kind of a big CLM (career limiting move)
There are 3 criminals in this. The 2 employees and their buddy who stole the cash.
are we to understand that guy in the first pic carrying the bag is the worker and he just left it next to the car?
then a van pulls up and grabs it?
the guy in the van, if he had no relationship with the first guy, isn't committing a crime. the bag is on the curb like garbage... which is free to be picked up by anyone
of course, i'd bet they know each other.
Yes...but I don’t have the timing of the photos though I’ certain the police have that already and downpat.
Without the timing it might look as though a planned event...which is why I’m sure the investigation...though is reported the ATM workers are co-operating.
We don’t really know that yet...all we know is the AT drivers are co-operating with police. Could be just a stupid error on their part.
I think that might depend. I know there have been court cases about police picking up garbage from a specific house in order to search it for drugs and residue. It might be that you have an expectation of privacy in what you throw out.
This probably falls into a different category of "abandoned property", which is different from garbage. Not a crime to pick it up, but a crime to not turn it in.
Im curious about one thing...unarmed employees are moving that amount of cash around in a van? Then why do we have armored cars? These would seem to be an easy target
*******************
It is an easy target... but sometimes stealth is more important... I used to deliver drugs for a hospital chain ,,, I picked up at the hospitals central drug warehouse, a building that still had the prior tenants “Air Conditioning” business signage... and all deliveries were made in ordinary cars... the hospital employees weren’t allowed to have any hospital parking stickers on their cars or wear their badges outside of the building...
