I can’t believe people in this day and age listen to music that old.

I don't know if I agree. One song is where it started on "albums."

Most people never heard the lead in on the Uncle Charlie album. I don’t think it got aired on the radio version.

... anyway. I do...
You don't.
I've had XM for 10 years. They have always played the popular versions of songs from the 40's to today.

Really? Sirius plays 60s cover versions. I have only listened a few times in rental cars and they played the original versions when I listened, has that changed?
No.

Uncle Charlie and his dog Teddy... Somewhere i still have that album. Yeap it's on the Uncle Charlie album. They interview an old man. That part wasn't on the 45 nor played on the air back in the day. Jerry Jeff Walker wrote the song but I think Uncle Charlie was NGDB's invention. I have the vinyl and CD of it. The one that was real hard for a long time to get on CD was Nitty Gritty Dirt Band Dirt Silver and Gold. 37 songs on that one. I like the song "Bowlegs" :>}

Ohmygosh, I forgot about Bowlegs. Too many years, too many songs, not enough brain cells to keep it all straight anymore. Now I want to marathon-listen to NGDB ...

There is a video I’ve seen before on Youtube when I can go out and get high speed access. The song is Will the Circle Be Unbroken. It’s a live video with NGDB, Chet Atkins, Roger Mcguinn, Mark Oconner, Johnny Cash,Roy Acuff, Michael Martin Murphy, Earl Scruggs & Randy, Ricky Skaggs, Chris Hillman, Levon Helm, Emmylou Harris and others on it singing it. I know it’s on the album by that name but they also taped the recording.
