Let’s see: no Passengers Bill of Rights in Canada, as far as I know.
Maybe the airline is owned and operated by Klingons. But in that case, wouldn’t the crew think it wimpy to stay in a nice hotel? Wouldn’t they be in the barracks with the passengers?
DANG!
We flew united for our honeymoon. One of our connecting flights was late due to weather, so our honeymoon started with an unexpected 10-hour layover.
We figured the weather was not United’s fault, so we were willing to try again on a trip to Durango, Coloado. Our flight into Denver was delayed, giving us only 15 minutes to catch the flight from Denver to Durango. We made it, but our luggage did not. We didn’t really mind that part, *except* the next morning at breakfast the person delivering our luggage told us he was in the area and would be at our location in about 30 minutes so we stayed in the main city instead of driving 20 minutes to our remote cabin. 8 hours and 6 ‘yes, I’m on another delivery but I should be there soon’ calls later we were finally able to resume our vacation.
On the return trip we weren’t feeling to happy about United, but we had already paid for our tickets. My parents had an early flight, so we checked in early. When United announced our flight home had been canceled, we blew our stack and decided we would eat the loss just to get tickets from someone else and asked for our luggage back only to find out that our luggage had made it out on an earlier flight -— post 9/11 by the way.
I always avoid United.
They should relax , this is what it will be like when Obama is KING
I’d just as soon have the pilot and co-pilot alert and relaxed before resuming the flight.
Hey, I was stationed at Goose Bay for a short time back in 1969! Remote is the word! But we had plenty of food, if you like powered eggs!
How many people here have a story to tell about flights that is half this cool! It should make people grateful to the military personnel. This is where they are expected to live. It might be inconvenient at the time but would make a great story to tell when sitting around with friends. This is much more exciting than being stuck in a domestic terminal like I did. I spent the night in the Las Vegas airport. If I remember the largest 767 only seats around 245 so I am not sure where the other 45 people came from. The story said a passenger claimed about 300 people. Goose Bay sounds cool but I find Moose Jaw a better fit for freepers.
Quite a few Canadians and English don’t even have two meals a day let alone two blankets.
“United — we’re really just Continental, with even less customer service”
Calling all lawyers.
I’m in favor of the “drivers” of my flight getting a great rest even if I have to sleep in squalor. I want the pilots to be feeling tip top so they can get me where I’m going without screwing up.
After UNited bent over for that fraud Muslim woman I vowed to not use them. Now this? I have about 200,000 miles to use so that shouldn’t take too long.
Good plan to make the passengers "rough it". Give these passengers any comfort in accommodations and soon they will demand the same during the flight.
United Airlines. Why does this not surprise me?
These passengers had better like Goose Bay more than the bottom of the North Atlantic.
